Wait... isnt the whole point of this crypto community to be able to fund what projects WE want to fund. VC has already been disrupted, why else would half the VCs be pushing for ICOs to be banned (coinbase, DCG) and the other half for their own crypto funded Funds....... Scam or not...... they have a professional look - probably put a few btc into building this ANN. Props to that.

These guys might be successful, but remember what happens to ICO's.... they go down.

Hello everyone! Thank you for your interest in the offering. The fund will invest into equity of the companies and potentially tokens as well. So yes, you could of course invest into ICOs yourselves, however to get an exposure to Series A round of a major blockchain company that would not do an ICO would be a lot more difficult as an individual investor. BCAP token gives you this exposure.

The difference with ICONOMI: it invests only in tokens / crypto and BCAP token gives you much wider exposure as per above.

The difference with Melonport: it is a fund management platform, not so much a fund itself.

Thank you for your interest. It would be quite difficult to do it on ICONOMI I would have thought, as the platform is more suited to tradeable tokens as investments. BCAP will have both traditional private equity investments into startups + would also look at ICOs.

The bookbuilding starts at April 10th 2017.
The token cap is 10m BCAP tokens ($10M), all is being sold.
We do not intend to use bounties because this is difficult to structure with a digital token representing a fund where NAV value is dollar for dollar.

Those selected investments are just examples, there will be access to follow-on opportunities from Fund I and II in addition to new investment opportunities.  Blockchain Capital has been the leading investor in the Blockchain space since 2013, so there's a fantastic opportunity here.  We are currently aiming at $10M.
