Bitcoin to reach $4k

In my opinion, Bitcoin will reach the double of the price right now within this year, making it $4000 USD per Bitcoin.
What do you think about this and if yes, is 2017 enough for this speculation?

Still too long in my opinion. Now the bitcoin price is at 2300USD. It took about a year, but that too was not certain. Because the price of bitcoin may decrease. The most important thing now is bitcoin prices are in line with what we expected last year.

I am afraid when bitcoin price going too fast and too high to invest. Bitcoin won't be like what the founder wish if the price touch the higher price too fast. It's not a currency anymore, it's just a speculation's gear. Increasing price of bitcoin should be equal to increase of people's​ knowledge about this technology. Imho

But as of now bitcoin is all set to move forward rather than any possibilities of crashes. I agree there would be any corrections but that will not influence prices reaching bigger prices like $5000 or $10,000 too. Yes, I am sure bitcoin is all set to reach $5000 to $10,000 before end of this year. After Japan, India is getting ready to legalize cryptocurrencies already India market is soaring with large number of bitcoin users and their market is leading in terms of prices like $200 ahead.

Like Japan,India we may expect more asian and african countries to support bitcoin to reach $10,000 this year.

it feels really scary nowadays about how bitcoin move because it could suddenly dip knowing its not revealed where all these billions came from. if all of them came from users in japan or from banks who were actually planing to buy ripples for themselves.

if bitcoin reach 4k, then the tokens we currently hold will also have good value soon.

2020 is the next block reward halving, I think we could see $10,000 per bitcoin by then as you said. It will make a lot of us very happy.

To be honest prices are unpredictable at the moment its almost as if we gaining a 50 dollars increment each day and we not even passed mid year(June) guess ~$3500 sounds practical

Should the  scalability of bitcoin be addressed with a solution we just might get there before the end of the year...Bitcoin value is really a good rewarding investment

Right now we are seeing fast increase but it doesn't mean that the price will touch or double  in $4k.. i think we still experience of large dump this year except if more good news will be happen the same as last few months about legalized in japan..
Well for now my own speculation much more possibility to reach the price right now is $2500 value this year.. until end of the year..

$4,000 for this year is very possible. If this increase will be continuous and if there would be a dump it will be only a small time.

I would say that I'm getting excited to see the price of bitcoin pump up to $4,000 for this year.

That might be true, but just look at any bitcoin market chart, and you will know that $4,000 is possible. Back in December 2016, there was a lot of people who were optimistic about the price breaking $1,000, and it did. Look at the price now – almost double what was in early 2017 in just 5 months, everything is possible in the crypto world.

Bitcoin still has some bullets to give more hype in the future. But your decimal will get acquired by bitcoin at the end of this year. $3k is more reasonable decimal in my mind. You can see how the market is always trying to hype bitcoin every time. The price goes up every time, and it just takes a short rest.

There are some technical problems prevent the price of bitcoin goes to the moon. $4000 will make possible in the future.

But, you're speculating on the short time and let's wake up from your dream.

If you had asked this a month ago, I would had said no within a second but now I just know. As you can see the BTC has has been literally erratic, so obviously if it continues with this erratic uptrend then 4000 isn't a big deal to be achieved in this year, but keep in mind it can just drop as much as it risen.

I'll be bullish and say we will see that in the next 90 days then get smoked but honestly when it broke 1600 it wasn't even that long till we broke 2K and now its chugging along at $2250 if the speed stays consistent this thread might fulfill itself by the beginning of July.
The harder question right now is where the resistance will be if it does drop later.

Nothing is impossible, but I prefer to focus on settling above the $2000 level instead of focusing on a price far beyond it. Don't forget that this is Bitcoin after all -- it doesn't take much for some sort of drama to kick in and force people to panic sell their coins. Also important to add is the fact that we haven't gone through a serious correction yet. That's why I prefer to remain holding a conservative stance in this whole situation.

In the moment we will upgrade bitcoin with competent scaling solution, price will soar. $4.000 won't be longer a dream but reality.
It should happen in near future, most likely in the next 4-6 months, as there are rumors that SegWit will be activated in August.
I expect another price spike after Australia will legalize bitcoin in July too.

Anything is possible now with bitcoin price. And $4000 is not an exception. A lot has been said that $2000 with not be hitted within the year. But look are where we are right now. The only thing that I'm afraid of is that one negative news will halt all this madness about bitcoin. But still, $4000 is not that far and be touched sooner than we think.
