I can confirm that this exact unit is en-route (via Fedex International Priority) to the IceDrill research/engineering facility where it will undergo rigorous evaluation. ETA: Friday 3 Jan.

I have my tracking number, but not from HashFast (FedEx called me to confirm some details on the shipment).
I presume this means they've begun shipping, even if they haven't given out the tracking numbers yet...

Baby Jet Delivery Dates. All of the 550 Baby Jet units from HashFast's first production batch are guaranteed for delivery by December 31, 2013. If Buyer ordered one or more units of such Baby Jets, and HashFast does not deliver such units by that date, then Buyer may cancel the undelivered portion of the order at Buyer's request and HashFast will refund the payment for the units that Buyer purchased but did not receive and cancelled. This cancellation and refund is Buyer's sole and exclusive remedy for HashFast failing to deliver by the December 31, 2013 guaranteed delivery date, and Buyer must cancel the order by January 15, 2014 to avail itself of this remedy. Buyer to pay all taxes, duties and shipping costs.

The reason I said "own" terms is because everyone may not wish to be a hardliner like us.   

He may not have the resources or inclination to sue and wish to compromise with them. It's up to each individual to choose a solution that works best for them.   

Good advice on the registered letter and I believe someone mentioned certified email earlier.

You should probably also consult a lawyer before taking any action, many offer free initial consultations.

I believe he has an engineering sample so he can get BFGMiner up and working with it so we have an alternative to using cgminer.

I don't see how that could happen, since Ciara was booked to assemble mid October, right...right? If the delays now is Ciara, it would be almost like they knew they wouldn't need Ciara until late Dec?

The Ciara delay thing also doesn't make sense. You either pay Ciara a lot for a place or go somewhere else. It doesn't really make sense to wait if you can build money printing machines instead.

HashFast has intentionally implied that they shipped you a production unit, as part of the normal shipping process.

They shipped to him just to make sure the correct functioning with the BFGMiner yes ?

HF have just "shipped" a pair of hand assenbled units to make sure they work correctly. They have not even start making them in bulk.

This would have been nice 2,5 months ago, now I am just not even shocked. As usual just a crap marketing strategy to put a nice header on the frontpage of their website claiming that they have started shipping

assemble mid October? really? there was no inital plan to assemble in the middle of October. it was a marketing lie to deliver 20 to 30 Oct 2013.

where are the CEO and the CTO if a situation goes in the wrong direction like this? they prefer to go silent and send a lady to the front! nice gentlemen they are!
