hi,
yes with this difficulty it is best to solo mine. but i think because of the low difficulty most of the found blocks hop out of the wallet in a few seconds. is there a way to reduce this loss of found blocks dissapearing from the wallet?
should i change the queue? i have now set 1 should i change the scantime?? i have set it to 1 now should i change the expiry? i have set it to 3 now
or should i just accept this loss at this difficulty?
thanks
(i run cgminer solo and have almost 1khs)

Are you planning on actually doing any sort of advertising for this coin, get it out on the altcoin markets, push for it on cryptsy or coins-e or the other exchanges? What are the long term goals for this coin? Do you plan to implement anything that makes it particularly unique?

I have noticed when someone is backing a coin their response is "shitcoin" as if somehow the virtual coin of their choosing using the same exact scrypt algorithm and being a modified version of litecoin makes it better. Let us be 100% honest, almost all if these coins are shitcoins. They all bring nothing to the table, the only one with any real promise is Stablecoin because of the use of coinmixing. That is it, otherwise they are all the same piece of non-unique shit over and over again.

If you are running windows then all you need is to put a leadcoin.config file in your C:\users\username\appdata\Roaming\leadcoin folder. Use notepad but dont forget to save as a .conf not .text. Put in this file; listen=1 daemon=1 server=1 rpcuser=yourchoice rpcpassword=yourchoice rpcallowip=192.168.0.* Adjust for your network rpcport=27771 then run the client again and then point your cgminer at it; cgminer.exe --scrypt -o 192.168.0.20:27771 -u yourchoice -p yourchoice That should do it!

I have an AMD 7670HD + 6520G APU in my laptop that runs ~80 kh/s with no fan noise (on a cooling pad) or slowdown. I use to run multiple D3 bots on this comp, fairly solid computer.

Solo mining and killing it. Already mined 4 successful blocks, with 1 block failing. (I believe they call that orphaning?) Seeing how I just started 25 mins ago though, and already have over 15k on the books, I'll probably let it run for a little bit.

I think only few people are mining leadcoin. The diff is so low, getting blocks is so easy even with low hash rate. Join in the fun.

Yes, the pool (Forkpool) is over 51% (Well over 51%) - Leadcoin needs more solo miners! I am offering 1920 LDC to solominers (1 block) see below! If you post a screen shot of your immatures in that thread I will send you a block. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=436299.msg4797090#msg4797090

I think the block chain has been forked.
It's syncing forever without downloading anything and the rate at which it's downloading blocks is ~30 seconds.

I am in on this coin to try solo mining because it has such a low difficulty and to make sure I am doing it right. So far, I have been solo mining for an hour and have found almost 20 blocks. Difficulty is showing 0 on CGminer.
Also, looking at the miner output, I am getting a ton of rejected lines that also say BLOCK! Whats the deal?

yea the current difficulty is 0.01622832, so finding blocks is easy right now, and you should be getting 1920 LDC per block. However that is going to change in about a week or so, where the block rewards are going to half. as far is your rejected lines, can you clarify a little more? cgminer will say block whatever is either accepted or rejected. usually your LDC wallet will pop-up with a message you received some LDC first, and then you will see a message in cgminer you found a block, or vice-versa. if cgminer finds a block, but you didn't get in message in the LDC wallet, the block you found got orphaned. orphaned blocks also shows up as greyed out transactions in the LDC wallet, they never get confirmed.

I am at about a 10% reject rate with only 370khash/sec and that is at over 10 hours of mining so far. I have been mining this coin since the beginning and i think that reject rate is about right the norm for me though. Many factors affect your acceptance rate, like your internet speed, distance from the nodes, and of course if you competing against high hash rate miners/pools. That last one isn't a issue with this coin as of late, so the other two factors may play a bigger role on your acceptance rate from mining LDC. PM me if you want my LDC config file to compare to yours to, so maybe you can get a better acceptance rate that way too.

Here is a sample line from CGminer output: [2014-2-13 17:19:58] Rejected 23144e32 Diff 1.87k/1064 BLOCK! GPU 1 I don't have any greyed out lined in my transaction window. ok, well the grayed out transactions may disappear i guess...i checked my wallet and i didnt see any grayed out transactions as of late...i guess they drop off your wallet after awhile, since you didnt really get credit for that block...however, you sample line is just simple telling you that the block you "found" got orphaned, basically someone else "found" the block and got it out to the LDC network faster than you did. maybe it was me! =)...so while it sucks, that happens sometimes when you solo mine...hope this clears something up for you. 10-4. Thank you. So far my Accepts are 60622 and my Rejects are 88274. Do you guys have the same ratio of A/R or is it just because I have 650kH/s compared to some heavy duty miners out there? Open ports. You should have maximum connections to avoid stales. Maximum connections means your solved block broadcasts faster throughout the network.

Hay, and what's the difficulty re-target?
Can the dev please answer? I am not the dev...but Difficulty retargets every 20 blocks...Got that info from the Chinese announcement section for this coin. That's impossible. 20 blocks means 10 minutes, and the diff stays the same for like 48 hours.

If you want this coin listed in Poloniex, the dev has to be more active and answer questions -- Send us an email and tell us about your coin. There is no set of rules, but we like to see evidence of the developers' dedication to the project, community interest, and, more than anything, innovation. If your coin is truly innovative in some way, it is more or less guaranteed to be accepted by Poloniex.

He's kind of passive. 5 days ago, he updated the top post to add new exchange. He needs to be more active otherwise the coin is dead. This coin is gaining up fast, people are supportive. But only if the dev... In fact, the no. 1 reason for a dead coin is an inactive dev.

People don´t trust in a inactive dev.

I think the wallet sync issue is just the fact that blocks are constantly being generated, so the wallet really has no time to ever catch up.

hey if you have LDC at the newaltex exchange, you better withdraw them soon. the admin at that exchange is shutting it down. here is the message ... I'm closing the exchange, Please close your orders and withdraw your money in 48 hours (until Sun Feb 18 14:00:00 EST 2014). For withdrawal help email me at admin@newaltex.com
WHY?
Some chinese guy managed to steal over half a bitcoin and I can't figure out how. Also the malleability attack screwed the wallet so bad it shows a negative balance, I've had it with bitcoin.this sucks for the admin and us. now we have to hope some other exchange adds LDC

The newaltex exchange will reopen when the bitcoin guys fix that transactions bug. Here is the message off the site... The exchange is closing please withdraw your money, I decided to reopen when the Bitcoin dev team decides to release an updated client. It seems like there wasn't any theft the wallet was reporting a false balance all this time.

Here is a exchange site that is not listed on the main page ... Www cryptotc/market#LDC It is a OTC type trading site and they don't offer any escrow service. However, you can trade just about any alt coin that is out there, no matter how big or small. I have been using it for awhile, but I have yet to make a sale. This is probably because I have no idea how to price my ldc.

I smell a community take over a brewing! How about the community make some changes to this coin, like add some features like PoS or kitomo gravity, those seem to be the thing these days... i found a working link to the source code for LDC in a post over in the Chinese language section... https://github.com/lead-coin/leadcoinThe post where that link came from.. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=425688.0just my two cents...

It'll fail. There's never a community takeover. The dev's gone, the coin's gone. PoS is horrible. It's the worst thing ever. It encourages holding the coins as investment, avoiding it's circulation, i.e. true use as a cryptocurrency. Then worst -- PoS looks at the coin age; the longer you're holding a large amount of cryptocurrency, the higher the chance of mining a block, which further reduces chance of circulation. However if the profits proof of stake is giving you is negligible, then we may nullify this disadvantage. You need to run a full node in order for the wallet to mine blocks based on PoS and it should be up always; how many people will do that? (especially when the interest rate is low)? When these coins will be made popular, 90% people will run paper wallets giving power to the hands of these 10%; thus an attack may not be that hard to do. That's why PPcoin is so much high in the crypto list. People will hold it like a commodity, but when it comes to buying things with it, people wont do it -- cause it's a commodity, not a currency. And that explains why PPcoin distribution is so horrible.

Solo mining is the way to go now...difficulty is really low, so you will find blocks now, even with low hash setups.

Are you talking about pool mining still? anyways, I dont think there is any solid pools mining this coin on the regular, so that may be why you are having issues with pool mining. You can also PM me and i can help you setup your computer to solo mine. it is really easy to do.

I wonder if someone else can take over this coin
I know someone and I hope they are reading this Any announcements? Nothing more than what I have said a few posts back about a community take over. I have zero coding skills, so I have nothing to add to that endeavor though. But I think now, more than any other time , would be perfect time to rally some community support and tap some talent to head up a take over. We can take some lessons from others coins that this has happened to, or at least in the manner we would be doing it, basically without dev support. Somewhat related, Klondike coin is forking soon I believe , but with the help of the dev, with the intent to cut down the block rewards to increase the coins value now. And that motivation came from within its community. The key though, is the community support and energy in making something happen . If the LDC community can do that , we might be successful with recovering this coin. Just my two LDC

I didn't notice at first, but you can also pay for votes with BTC. So 0.00001 BTC is one vote, so for example, 1000 votes for LDC would cost 0.01 BTC. That isn't too expensive, and hell that is like pocket change for those cryptocoin day-traders out there! I think I have some left over BTC on a trading site I don't us much, so I will just send that.

I think the best goal for this coin is to get it added to CryptoRush. It's in the top 10 and just getting added on there, along with the low coin cap, should create immediate value without too many changes.
I say add KGW at a minimum at least. see this link on KGW here... http://cryptofrenzy.wordpress.com/2014/02/09/multipools-vs-gravity-well/Oh, and LDC is #3 on CyptoRush now! If they make number one, do they get added? Or the top 3? How does their list work?

We got just over 2 days before they select their next coin. Lets rattle our wallets for our loose BTC and send it over to vote LDC up! 0.1 BTC is 10,000 votes!

Does anyone else have the problem where your wallet is ALWAYS syncing. even if it's "0 hours behind"?
I don't have that problem. I would make sure you got the nodes right and restart the wallet. Were you downloading the block chain for the first time?

I think he is Korean. Ironic that he left LeadCoin which; a: Is still active b: Still has plenty of fans c: Could be a lot bigger for a new coin with a name like Cac, Puke or Scat - I forget exactly. Must be a Korean thing.

Occasionally. OTH that is better than going 'off piste' and mining solo for a few days and then seeing all those blocks roll back!

Does the dev answer PMs at all? and I was soloing yesterday and got 200 blocks that wouldn't confirm, then vanashed.. orphans?
There is a forked chain out there waiting to trap unsuspecting solo miners. I lost 3 million LDC to it so I should know! My best advice would be to put these nodes in your leadcoin.conf; addnode=50.43.34.206:27770 addnode=62.75.167.102:49902 addnode=46.246.88.55:27770 addnode=188.226.40.24:49991 addnode=86.114.44.27:50937 addnode=78.86.167.8:59502 addnode=125.163.234.237:9333 addnode=70.79.24.157:51196 addnode=68.147.228.48:9333 addnode=111.127.150.38:9333 addnode=178.32.55.85:9333 addnode=199.103.61.149:59415 addnode=50.194.56.154:9333 And then either mine from http://coinminer.net:19993/static/ or solomine but occasionally check your chain by mining from http://coinminer.net:19993/static/

Hey, miners, do you want KGW in this coin? Can you do it? I guess, I can, but that means community takeover and if changing diff retarget algo, maybe it's worth to go straight to DigiShield which Doge have chosen too. It's also requires some amount of time, which I currently do not have, for testing to things go smoothly.

Tried wallet on Windows 8.1, worked fine for me, I can look into your debug.log to try to figure out the issue if you share this file, it's in your AppData folder(Win+R and paste %APPDATA%\Leadcoin), zip it and publish it on dropbox, mega.co.nz or some other file sharing service

Near as I can tell, these are the debug lines from the event:
StopNode() UPNP_DeletePortMapping() returned : 0 upnp thread interrupt Flushed 15433 addresses to peers.dat 104ms Committing 0 changed transactions to coin database... Flush(true) wallet.dat refcount=0 wallet.dat checkpoint wallet.dat detach wallet.dat closed DBFlush(true) ended 133ms
Since the debug txt file has no date/time stamps, I just looked at where shares were accepted/rejected from the last good time I ran it and the above is everything after that.

Can't really tell anything from this, if you haven't tried solution from bitcoin topic, try it: delete everything from %APPDATA%\Leadcoin EXCEPT wallet.dat then restart Leadcoin. Might build new wallet version to see if it helps, later. Downloaded the latest wallet file from the new website. Copied my wallet file for safe keeping. Re-installed the wallet and started it. Seems to be slow, but working.

To everyone getting those (unknown) Windows errors, I suggest a reformat.
The wallet doesn't appear to have any .NET components, so it's another Windows quirk. Trying it out on Windows 8, effectively means a reformat.

I would like to do re-ann myself together with new client version(no hard fork yet) as re-ann starting post should be updated continuously, as for now, it might be worth to clean cheap coins off the market, there are regular dumps for 1 satoshi on c-cex mined on low diff, it's so undervalued compared to other coins, it's just ridiculous, here some fundamentals: - 1 billion coins total
- Current price is 1 satoshi, which is at least 10x cheaper than other comparable coins, there are high chance that your order will be filled by miners
- As for today, around 1382400 mined daily, which means you can buy all daily supply for just ~0.014 btc, drawback is that current diff is low and it's still profitable for miners to sell at this price
For traders, it's high risk, high return investment, do your own research, don't invest more than you comfortable to lose, invest if you can afford to hold onto this coin at least for 2 months.

They haven't shut down any market yet, and LDC market is looking healthier than many others. I'm not going to do re-ann before everything will be in place, hard fork is coming, and it will be a bumpy road, as old clients will stop syncing.

Node 107.170.71.190 now uses standard Leadcoin port, if you added this node before, edit as follows(just remove the port): If you are using new version, you don't have to define any nodes in leadcoin.conf, as it works fine without specifically defining them. Call to solo minersPool fee on http://comradepool.com:9500/static/ has been lowered to 0%, it was done in preparation to the upcoming new major release with hard fork implemented, if you are mining solo, either watch this thread for the updates or just point your miners to the pool, you will not lose anything on fees and will not risk wasting your hashing power on mining wrong fork. Pool will switch to new version when it comes out.

Hi,
This coin died because nobody is mining it?
Solo mining is the way to go now...difficulty is really low, so you will find blocks now, even with low hash setups.

I have been mining it off and on to get a few here and there.

There'll be a dev takeover and a re-ann. The coin is not dead yet.

Community support is good, and there's a dev who just released a new wallet.

Thank you for adding us! is this coin going to be popular and be traded at cryptsy etc? anyone have information of its community and developers?
Community is here and I'm taking over development, current focus is to make some updates to wallet, after that we can concentrate on getting onto more exchanges and existing services (faucets, gambling, etc). Getting listed on Cryptsy or Mintpal will take time, as they require tons of votes and we don't have any premine for paid ones, we should try to get to smaller exchanges first.

Such research. Ok, guys, it was a long way, but we made it, I'll start a new topic once we pass 308000 block. Miners - update or you will waste your hashing power.
