Why is Maxcoin superior over gold?

Maxcoin and gold have a lot of similarities:

- the amount of gold is limited, just like the amount of maxcoins;
- Maxcoins have to be mined, gold has to be mined;
- and they are both valuable.

Maxcoin was already at 3 bux.  Watched it crash and die in front of my eyes.
  100 dollars seems very unlikely although your hypothetical math seems correct.  
   Maxcoin will hit 100 dollars as soon as bitcoin hits 3000.  Which may only happen in an alternate universe where altcoins dont exist.  Including maxcoin.  Goodluck with your wise investment.

My advice would be research the pos revolution and the myriad of opportunites created by etherum.
coins like mastercoin, counterparty, blackcoin, whitecoin, ghost coins, zeitcoins, nxt and nas, etcetc..
  This crypto world.moves 10 years in a day.  Be careful with doing long term speculative investments in coins that most like will die before you can blink.
   Would be my guess that maxcoin has peaked and value is now locked to the rise and fall of bitcoin.
   Remember when the price of electricity doubles, miners will be worthless as well as all pow coins. Proof of work is not sustainable at the rate it has grown either by energy consumption or by technological advance.  Be wary friend.

Why don't they just halve the coin rewards again, instead of it being worth 10cent it will be 20cents.

It seems all coins are relaid to BTC prices so isnt that centralized on BTC so if BTC falls they ALL FALL

I think if a new coin comes out it should find a way to not be blocked against the up and down value of BTC as so much work goes into different coins but if BTC drops they all drop.

Find a different way to make the value of the coins would be more successful i would of thought

if this coin ever has a chance to reach 100 it wont be for a couple years, the coin is fairly new still too many coins being produced daily for it to really take off in value, 20mil coins already since the launch, they should have made the block reward level less than 48 with blocks being found every 30 seconds, max keiser still holds the key for that 100 dollar a coin price to hit, in the back of my mind im hoping he just wants to keep the price low so he can buy up coins at a good price which takes time, but time will tell.

Max Keiser talks more about StaceyCoin (which has absolutely no community/dev support right now) and Game of Thrones.. He made ALOT of people lose money by pumping it from the beginning.

Maxcoin doesn't seem to have anything going on as far as advertisement and/or usage. Maybe in 40 or more years it can be worth that much, but that's a big maybe.

just to many coins being produced in the beginning to sustain a good price, still the case in my opinion, 1/5 of the coins already mined, it sucks its not expected to halve again for a while but time will tell.
