The KORE Thread has been slacking for too long.

Needs some FIRE to liven it up...

hello, lost all active nodes, could someone point me to a list of active nodes please? thank you.

I'm not aware of any fixed IP nodes that can be used.  I think the Dev did have some running, however I'm not sure they are still active.

I would suggest to leave your wallet running.  It should eventually pick up on a node.

I deleted my peers.dat file. this is what I see now in the log:

ThreadSocketHandler started
3 addresses found from .onion seeds
ThreadOnionSeed exited
Flushed 3 addresses to peers.dat  63ms
refreshWallet
trying connection ta56fvoyjmw3wdss.onion:28556 lastseen=123,3hrs
SOCKS5 connecting ta56fvoyjmw3wdss.onion
ipcThread started
UPnP Port Mapping successful.
ERROR: Proxy error: host unreachable
trying connection 3bs3bk4opaasrgc6.onion:28556 lastseen=111,3hrs

there seems to be 3 seed addresses but they are currently down. maybe related to http://www.korecoin.org/ being offline?

Yes, I would say that the seed addresses not working are related to korecoin.org being offline.  There are no alternative static seed nodes that I know of; however, I've uploaded the peers.dat file for one of my wallets, here:
https://mega.nz/#!SVFiTQQT!0ZN_GEsjQ_wrlzQsdVYDGLaeBBalQO89NyHob69Y6iA
Perhaps using it will get you connected.  I hope so, anyway!

Lots have changed.
Go back in the thread as it seems Eurbids took a hike but we are here hoping
he will live up to his word he told the kore community of releasing kore 3.0

He took down the Website, the Github and the Explorer.

Rest Assured We on the Team are moving forward though...in such a way to leave the door open
for Eurbids to come through.

And the links for the wallets also dont work...

Here's a Windows wallet link I made:

hello, is there a mirror for the wallet? I formatted my computer and need a new copy, thank you in advance.

Here is a copy of the Windows version I've uploaded for anyone who needs it.  Hopefully someone can upload a Linux and Mac version too.
https://mega.nz/#!3ZNFlDTY!YiDFccr8XPjJCczDFpxv7PxUzGDavDdwYW_42VWORFk

Please consider staking some coins in order to support the network.

Enjoy,

TO THE KORE COMMUNITY and INTERESTED ONES:

First:
1-Windows Wallet with updated Peers.dat file so the wallet will sync.
https://mega.co.nz/#!lBlGmL7R!UW-lzmtfHa1OeC0dn_D18jq4KXejST32oyeNApQVqOE
Try this peers.dat file to get the wallet to connect/sync.
https://mega.nz/#!ypg0GCba!ydP8dlwSgwfYS7UD-gaclFQlKiZ64bklRke5sAPDHKI
BOOTSTRAP:
Thanks to DfiLeR for the Bootstrap.
bootstrap-10.10.15.dat  -  Block 392324 - 189.9Mb
https://mega.nz/#!KE0nSbSL!-IsbKtI1276Dkv9nFsbZWivi7PnhuYBfgH_l5DBL6XE

Instructions
After starting the KORE wallet for the first time, close it and copy this file to your KORE wallet data folder (not the folder you run the wallet from)
Windows example C:\Users\YOUR_USERNAME\AppData\Roaming\KoreCoin   (never delete wallet.dat from this folder... backup wallet.dat)
Rename file to just bootstrap.dat without date stamp
start wallet again and sync away

KoreCoin_OSX_2.2.1.dmg 12.5 MB
https://mega.co.nz/#!OQpylI5J!0txy0O70yeSpcc5m4FkkZWB9TFEnFQI4EdaS3gN2IYs

2-For a custom Linux Version go to end of post:
Version: 64 bit Ubuntu Linux 14.04 LTS Trusty

3-KoreCoin Website:
http://korecoin.net/#

4-Source Code - GitHub Link:
https://github.com/KoreTeam/KoreCoin

5-Block Explorer for KORECOIN:
http://blockexperts.com/kore

6-Please stake some coins to support the Kore Network.
If you are new to Kore PM me for some free coins to stake.

My intentions of writing this is to inform those from long ago or who are new
and drop by this thread who may not know what's transpired and
what the future holds and the future looks bright.
There will be more announcements...

Those left on the KORE TEAM have been busy behind the scenes the last few months
working on many ideas and coding the Æther OS from scratch for the Korephone.
The last 7 months were spent on just the security end and we are close to being complete.
It has been tested but needs more and a few other aspects of it finalized.
We plan to use KORE as a test bed for a good part of our work.

As we all know and some may not yet be aware that Eurbids seems to have given his final farewell
and left as any self respecting alt coin Dev normally does.
Sarcasm intended...
He took down the korecoin website, deleted his GitHub Account, Shut the Servers down
and not responded to any of our kind requests and offers.
NOTE: We have plans to put most all back up and it's in the works to regain Kore's VoIP
in the future but a different kind and hopefully we can provide you with something a bit better quality.
We should mention here that we have many Irons in the Fire and when each one matures to a point
of integration, public use or just proper timing we will announce them.

Why Eurbids would leave just as we were ready to give him what was needed to
incorporate the Korephone into the Kore Wallet as well as
other features from the Æther OS we presented him is very telling.

Azure and I have been asked many times over the last few months to take KORECOIN over.
We appreciate the trust you have put in us and have given this consideration.
The main reason we have given Eurbids every possible opportunity to come through with
the release of his many times promised KORE 3.0 was we thought it best for the Kore Community
and at this point most view him as ill fit to be a Dev and we agree.
Taking KORECOIN Over is another monumental task we would have to put on top
of our Korephone and its Æther Kripton OS as well as other projects.
IF we are to do this we would need to build another KORE TEAM and we need for responsible ethical
ones with any skill set you might have from managing twitter and facebook and reddit accounts to
spread sheets to graphics, promotions, marketing and wallet C++, C# and Mobile phone APP coding.
This help would allow us to add KORECOIN to our projects.
We as well are in talks with Bitcoin Carpenter from the Viorcoin thread
about collaborating however we see the wisdom in keeping both coins separate
and will inform you why in future announcements. He will hopefully be able to rally the Vior community
to make a decision which direction to go with their coin. I have offered my opinions, ideas and an
open door to work together to help him where possible and he has reciprocated in equal.

Let us know what your skill set is so we can get to work.
Those left on the Team Promised you from the beginning we would be
straight up with you and not leave like so many Devs have in the alt world.
Those who join the team with any serious responsibility will be required
to sign an NDA and DOX themselves to the KORE TEAM.
We will not tolerate nor allow a situation to develop for another runaway Dev etc.

Those of us left on the KORE TEAM have DOXED ourselves
and the ones we are in talks with have signed NDAs.

We know your pain and have plans to make things better; even shake things up
a bit to bring about some real innovative changes in most all we do.
We could have left with our KOREPHONE and the Æther Kripton OS etc.
But this is where we all met and if not for KORE none of these
fine projects could have happened.

There are many avenues we are considering but no matter what we are not leaving
KORECOIN at this juncture and IF the KORE and VIOR Devs come back they will have
the option to negotiate with us to allow our tech to be incorporated into KORE 3.0 etc.
It will however mean they will be required to DOX themselves to the Team.
 Smiley
WE are building a NEW KORE TEAM.
Could you donate your skills, time and even BTC to support the projects.
We have already spent tens of thousands of dollars and with this added project
moving KoreCoin into the future we Need Your Support!

On OSX that will not work to my knowledge but will have to get back to you on the Linux.

Thanks MikeMike!  That peers.dat does work for my 64 bit Ubuntu 14.04 LTS wallet I built from the git repo.

In summary, the Intel Management Engine and its applications are a backdoor with total access to and control over the rest of the PC. The ME is a threat to freedom, security, and privacy, and the libreboot project strongly recommends avoiding it entirely. Since recent versions of it can’t be removed, this means avoiding all recent generations of Intel hardware. details https://libreboot.org/faq.html#intelme --- https://tehnoetic.com/laptops --- https://store.vikings.net/x200-ryf-certfied
