Latest Version: https://github.com/downloads/mrsteveman1/BitTicker-Mac/BitTicker.zip

This is a Mac menu bar application that shows the last Mt. Gox price and recent trade data. It also has support for showing mining statistics from mining.bitcoin.cz.

Things I'm already planning to add

  • Volume and pricing graphs for 24/48 hours, 1 week, 1 month and so on
  • iPhone and iPad versions (In progress)
  • Custom web service for storing and retrieving historical trade data for graphs

Things I'd like to add in the future
  • Push/local notifications when the price hits a user-specified high or low
  • Access to trade data from other exchanges
  • If I can avoid AppStore rejection and legal issues, I'd love to make it possible to trade bitcoins from inside the app

Development

The codebase is on GitHub here.

If you want to help fund development you can donate bitcoins to this address: 1EW4tmzG3Xwa7LPmebhrHhAuZWmPe6UKrk

Looks good.

Will Mt. Gox be the only market the ticker works for or will other markets be added as well?

Also access to mining data from other pools would be nice. Hopefully some miners from dif pools can contrib some code. Thanks for your work looks great! Will definitely buy from app store if it lands there.
