It wasn't even hacked. They are doing this to test Bitcoin one last time. This is a mark in history people. Mark my words. The price won't dip below 255. After bit stamp opens the price will remain in the 270s and rise steady from there.

not hacked ? how do you explain this: https://blockchain.info/address/1L2JsXHPMYuAa9ugvHGLwkdstCPUDemNCf

This guy even paid super high miner fees (there is one transaction with 1 BTC fee) in order to make tx get confirmed as soon as possible.

If he did then he's an idiot. Paying anything above the .001 fee would not result in a quicker tx.

18k coins? Ouch. That is nothing to sneeze at. But we are still in the realm of speculation as to whether those coins are no longer in Stamp's possession, right? Undecided

The OP seems desperate to convince people that it wasn't hacked.

OP did you have funds on Bitstamp before they shut down?

I guess someone should let Bitstamp know, because they think they were hacked.

Not all waiting transactions are included in every block. There is a mempool of all pending transactions for the miners to select from to build a block, so those which contain higher fees are more likely to be included in the next block...

Bitstamp's statement says they called in the police. If it was a fake hack there is no way they would call the police in.
