1xbit1.com account impersonating 1xbit.com scam casino

What happened: There's a new user claimed to be a new management of 1xbit scam casino, but the old 1xbit representative account come and pointed out if the newbie user has nothing to do with 1xbit. 1xbit1.com site is a mirror from 1xbit.com, but 1xbit.com account in this forum is either a troll or scammer. A newbie might believe 1xbit1.com account is a representative of 1xbit scam casino, so this thread created as a reference to prevent from anything could happen e.g. the account ask user's email and password via PM.

He was right about no new management, but he was wrong if it's a same person. I create this thread just for a reference of my trust flag where someone didn't satisfy with my old flag, when someone have create a new flag, I will lock this topic.

With my experience in online scam, I want to assure us that there is no new management, it is same people that wants to try a new domain because the former has been successfully demarketed.

To me they were both participating under a phishy scam environment and can be regarded as birds of equal feathers, but i don't see a reason for creating another thread for the two of them since there are enough threads on reputation to report this to, just a simple reply can go as long as expected in reporting the two under the same condition, what only gives them more upper hands is by not going against the forum's rules, because the forum doesn't ban user for scam, which means scam on bitcointalk is not moderated.

But it is rather a weird situation in my opinion, the scammer at first was convincing enough to make inactive accounts to wake up and contact him in that thread, wishing to get their money back.

After a while, it was revealed that the person was trying to extort money out the staff of the casino itself, because he managed to actually take over their domain (the price was 1BTC).

And even after being exposed as a scammer, he still tries to extort with the existence of the thread and seems to continue to accept information of newbies who are unaware of the situation.

Realistically, he cannot do anything with the account information of the victims, can he?

The flag has been created by @dragonvslinux and has support there. New accounts under the name 1xbit will continue to appear for the same reason, they always introduce themselves as new management who want to solve problems that have been created by previous management. It is necessary to increase efforts to eradicate fraud from 1xbit on the forums to prevent more victims.

Your wish has been realized after the flag was created, if there is no other purpose in this thread, it looks like you should lock it immediately. Previously there were several threads spreading how dangerous the 1xbit site was, we can use the service there to continue the discussion about the 1xbit scammers.

Please keep the thread to the reference topic open (don't lock it). You can not create a flag using a locked or self-moderated topic and this is by design, therefore, the topic shouldn't be locked as well after creating the flag

You're supposed to use the link in the flag to link to a topic where the flag is explained in detail and people can discuss it, not to the topic where the person was scamming. For discussing the flag, selfmod or locked topics would not be ideal. If a topic doesn't already exist about a scam, create it yourself before creating the flag.

Regarding this recommendation from theymos, there however is a topic already that discusses this scam accusation which isn't selfmod or locked...

So personally I think it would be OK to lock this topic, as long as in the OP there is a link to discuss the flag (below the flag link) for example in this format:

As in reality, there is already a topic discussing this impersonation scam, so not convinced it needs another.

The only issue would then be if the discussion topic is locked or removed, then this topic would need to be re-opened.

I can't believe someone would buy that casino and fix whatever problems the old owners did. It doesn't make sense to me, of course and in fact I'm pretty sure it's highly improbable. While I agree that it would be better to build a new casino instead of buying an old one which has been sunk by its bad reputation.

They deny having anything to do with the new guy who called himself "Mark", according to them he's trying to extort money from them by creating that thread and demanding that they pay him some amount before he'll take down the thread.
They also talked about the new domain.
But one thing is certain, whether 1xbit.com changed its management or not, 1xbit.com still remains a no go zone, it's best to stay clear and also warn newbies not to go near the casino.

The flag attached and red ink poured on his profile as a notification to newbies not to make any deals and not easily believe what this user says (1xbit). Indirectly the seniors on the forum have educated and prevented newbies from connecting to accounts on behalf of 1xbit representatives, the bad reputation that has been inscribed so far is due to the greed of those who want to collect money by sucking up all the balances of their users.

Don't be shocked users will still fall victim to this dump move based on their own greed and sentiments. The move is to first make their victims believe they are out to help recover funds, because I see no reason they will demand for email address and password of users if they won't make 1xbit users believe they are out with massive rewards from the real scam casino. If truly that the officials intend to change into a new leaf then why not them starting all over to create people's interest back on themselves by using an entire new name and forget about anything that has to do with the formal name they bear, no one will be interested in associating with them from the past they already have from here, because everyone will like to make a dig down to their reputation before having something in common with them and as for those working with them, i believe they were all aware as well on what's at stake.
