What the hell is Chaturbate token? I feel like I know where that name came from but I can't recall where, it's in the tip of my tongue. You should've been careful about this OP, now your 20 USD short because you believe too much what the scammer said, although I can't blame you, that scammer seems to know how to smooth talk and make a legitimate service out of a scam.

I can't tag him because:
1. I don't see he mention his address, so there's no way for me to know which address he use.
2. The proof of transaction you posted are from centralized exchange, which proving none as I can't verify if you're really send $20 to him.

Since the accusation is still unclear, I will leave it with a doubt.

OP, for easier insight into the whole thing for other members, should specify which addresses are in question (not as images).
As far as I can see, you sent the money first, and then you found an earlier post where that seller was recognized as a potential scammer. It should be the reverse order, right?

I will tag this member, although as far as I can see he is already opening new accounts and giving himself positive feedback.

sorry that you got scammed but you should have just bought the tokens on the website itself, from what I see, you'll get 200 Chaturbate tokens for $21, sure, it is less than what was offered by the scammer but at least it is guaranteed that you'll get what you bought. now you got scammed for $20 and still have no tokens.

Considering that the post in question was literally in the next tab from the very first moment, clearly shows that OP didn't bother to take a minute to read the comment section of that thread.

sorry that you got scammed but you should have just bought the tokens on the website itself, from what I see, you'll get 200 Chaturbate tokens for $21, sure, it is less than what was offered by the scammer but at least it is guaranteed that you'll get what you bought. now you got scammed for $20 and still have no tokens.

This is what scammers use (the temptation factor). They offer exciting offers in order to attract buyers until they accept their offers and agree to buy from them instead of the official Chaturbate website. If this dishonest member placed the same Chaturbate offer, quantity of tokens, and the same price of these tokens as specified by the site, there would be no one who would buy from him and risk his money.

The mistake that falls on the OP is that he trusted this newbie member and paid him first without using an escrow service to guarantee his rights. As SFR10 mentioned, this scammer has alt accounts with newbie ranks, and he will likely come back with other accounts and publish other offers after his Chaturbate tokens scam offer is exposed and after his accounts are tagged.

and the scammer you have posted has been negatively tagged. don't think that we are shaming you for falling for a scam, it might sound like harsh/shaming words to you but we are only showing you the obvious red flags that can be easily noticed with these kinds of offers going around the internet, so hopefully, you wouldn't fall for other scams similar to this that you might encounter someday.

No one is trying to shame you publicly, only your mistake is publicly marked. It may be difficult for you to see it now, but recognizing where you went wrong can help someone else.
Unfortunately, there is a very low chance we can do here to refund you. The most we can do is to ruin the scammer's business and mark it in red, that way we warn other potential victims.

Sorry I haven't read the thread, but when I saw the topic in my watchlist, I immediately thought of that scam accusation for 1 USD about 8-10 years ago. I wish I could find it, it was so fuckin funny.

It's good that you reported the scammer it's not actually public shaming we don't know your real name we just want to warn people not to be too greedy and fall for something that is too good to be true, and you happened to be an example of that, I feel sorry for you that you got scam there's countless report like this, so you are not alone.
It's a hard lesson for anyone to get scammed even for a small amount but it's a learning experience for you and for those who will believe in something that is too good to be true.

First of all ou should always make conversation on the forum it can make you less chance of being scammed. Now as you have already lost there is no way to recover your funds as the scammer is a newbie and for providing negative feedback the user has nothing to lose.

It's good that you sent a small amount of money to the scammer, so you didn't face a big loss. I'm not saying $20 is small money at once, but the experience you get from losing that $20 will help you be more careful in the future. You have a point, and I've supported two of your flags, but considering that @FlexxycDz is still using his/her account, it'd be better for OP to create a type 2 or 3 flag instead...

You might want to create a type 2 or 3 flags ^{[also known as the scammer flag (read "Trust flags")]} on those two accounts ^{[with enough support (+3), it'll be activated and the scammer in question would get a "red warning" on top of all of his/her threads while also getting another "warning" on his/her account]}!

• Steps: Go to their trust summary page > Scroll down to find the "add a flag" button ^{[it's located at the end of the negative feedback description]} > Choose the appropriate type, then proceed to the next step ^{[the rest is self-explanatory]}.

Sorry for your loss OP but this is a lesson learnt. How come you never demanded an escrow since you are just dealing with a person you have no knowledge about? After seeing and knowing he has an account here you could have told him you wanted an escrow to know if truly he is for real and I believe you could not have been scammed by him. It is unfortunate this happened. These are the reasons why we are warned to be wary of accounts with not much activities here and to avoid outside platform discussion if it happens that both parties meet here and start a conversation here because going outside of the platform to further discuss business would put such parties at risk because scammers always want to be out of trace. Your funds are gone and the only thing that can be done is to make known the scammer's account so that nobody will be a victim of the scammer in the near future.

You have made a mistake by relying on a stranger (the user is a stranger as s/he has no reputation on the forum and also no rank on the forum and if the user gets negative feedback then nothing to lose). If you need to do it urgently then you could use escrow while there are several escrow providers who could help you and prevent you from being scammed.
