What happened::

I tried to exchange 995.02 Payeer USD to 982.9950219 PayPal USD. I sent the payment using Payeer, then the exchange never paid me out via PayPal.

Just curious, is this your first time using their website? And if so, what made you decide to use their service? Personally, looking at their website, it does look suspicious, especially the "reviews" they have and the "partners" they claim to have.

Looking around Google, there is barely any information about their website other than the articles about them(which they probably paid for). Also, the "social media" links they have on their website lead to their website too(apart from their Telegram).

Sorry for your experience, OP. I have not really seen this account you have reported as active that much to warrant such a magnitude of transaction. I had to look into the profile to see for myself, and I noticed they were last active on the 17th of April, which is a red flag coupled with their inactivity here. Looking at their official thread, I noticed some comments that should have made anyone know to take caution when dealing with them. I was curious about you as well because, as a newbie, how did you know about their presence here, or did you use a new account to hide your identity for your careless mistake?

There are lots of exchanges here that are reliable to deal with, how would you risk such an amount of money with an unknown exchange with no track record here to say. Anyways, let us give them the benefit of doubt to come and prove themselves here for the community to deliberate on.

Sorry OP. I wish you had read through what I and other old members had written in their main thread before making any transaction. They were literary, creating brand-new accounts and making fake reviews about how good the service is.

I guess I am going to seriously start tagging and flagging any service that users fake shills.

It was definitely his first time, and he claims he just trusted them right away without any due diligence done.

I am pretty much sure they are scammers. As I can see from their shill post, they are lying too about the best change partner. So this is definitely a big red flag. I am just curious, OP, how did you find them? And have you tried to find some reviews about them on the thread? I am not asking about online reviews; I trust only reviews from trusted forum members. Feeling bad for your loss, but you shouldn't use them with a big amount the first time. There are a lot of trusted exchanges; also, you may find the best change monitor.

The scammer profile seems inactive for almost a month. Even they can't create a professional announcement thread, so how could we trust them? I left negative feedback, so they should come here to defend themselves; otherwise, feedback will exist in their profile. OP you can create a flag.

I was half asleep, saw it was automated and with a good rate + a few green reviews on pro-obmen.ru (didn't read them), so I just went along with it - I wanted to get the job done and I thought it would be completed within minutes.

I acknowledge that I am very very stupid for not reading all reviews and doing any due diligence in advance, but sometimes you just trust that people are good until proven wrong.

I have written to the exchange monitoring sites, where I found they are listed in hope they can delist them and cross-posted this threat at a few other forums where they advertised their services. Hopefully this will prevent other people from getting scammed.


P.S. I am open to any recommendations for reliable exchanges of Payeer USD to PayPal USD/Wise USD etc. - I may need to do such transactions in the future from time to time.

I acknowledge that I am very very stupid for not reading all reviews and doing any due diligence in advance, but sometimes you just trust that people are good until proven wrong.

In future cases you should do the opposite. View every offer or option with skepticism and take it as a scam until proven otherwise. There are too many cases of scams to trust unproven services.

Yes, my friend, I'm sorry for your loss. Here on the forum, as already mentioned, there are more reliable platforms. If in doubt, before making any transaction, you can post on the Beginners & Help board. Create a topic asking for suggestions, for example. I believe there must already be some there.

I am assuming you are Russian since the language on the website you shared(Amlxe.com) has russian language by default. Anyway, I am not familiar with Payeer so maybe you can ask someone on the Pyccкий (Russian) board, they might be able to help you with a recommendation.

Not many people may know of such exchanges because of KYC and since the exchange directions don't really involve crypto. I didn't know that one day I would suggest this but try checking out exchange monitors like Bestchange. There are usually so many listed. Read the reviews on the monitors especially the disputes, do some online searches, ask members around if you are not sure, carefully read the TOS before doing any transaction and most importantly be ready for the stupid KYC verifications.

Amlxe finally said on 12th May in a reply to two exchange monitoring sites (which I had written to about this) that they have contacted Payeer support for refund.

Finally, today I got $985.56 refunded today by Payeer support.

I ended up exchanging using Payeer to TRX, sent TRX to Binance and converted to EUR, which I withdrew to a bank account. I will need to re-evaluate my options now, but I will not trust random exchange sites anymore.

Once again, thanks to everyone.

I'm very happy to hear this news! It’s good that you were able to get a refund. I think this happened after you escalated the matter to the exchange monitoring sites and put pressure on them.

Even if this incident ended well, I will not trust Amlxe until they prove their credibility.

I do not believe in the reviews written on their platform, which seem to be written by themselves. Also, I don't see any objective evidence of the partnerships they claim, such as their partnership with Binance. Just placing logos of major companies on their site doesn’t mean there’s an actual partnership. They do not even have any social media presence, and their platform is only a few months old.

I am glad that you got back your funds after mounting some pressure in some of those exchange monitors where they are listed. No customer should go through what you went through without even any reason and instead of investing in proper customer care and service delivery, they are busy creating brand-new accounts to make fake reviews. It's very absurd!

I imagine if you hadn't made any noisy, they would have silently made off with your funds.

Also, you could make the transaction with the reputed member of the forum or at least you could use escrow service. But you have not done anything I have mentioned and that is why you have been scammed and I think there is no way to recover your loss. Sorry for you loss but it has happened for your mistake.

but luckily they didn't end up scamming him, and he managed to get a refund.
