Title: Selling 1g Silver Art Bars
Post by: Projects on August 12, 2012, 12:17:52 PM
Selling 1g .999 fine silver bars for .5 BTC each including free worldwide shipping (this shipping is inexpensive but does not include a tracking number - tracking costs 1BTC so is not cost effective unless purchasing more than 1 bar or if you just want peace of mind, however will be at your risk if posted without tracking. Proof of postage will be scanned and uploaded after every sale.)

15mm x 8mm size

How many of these do you have available? Art bars generally don't have collectible value(with a few exceptions) so the price you are offering seems a tad high.

I would buy as many as you have for 5% over melt price. This is more than the refinery will pay.

Hi, my price really isnt that high its because of the shipping I have to charge what I am.
If you were to purchase multiples I could do some kind of deal however not at spot + 5 %.
I paid a greater premium as with all smaller value bars/coins and I am not desperate to sell.

Lowest I could do is 0.28 each if you bought them all + shipping at cost either economy or tracked.

Uhm, silver spot is around $28, 1 gram = 1/32 of a troy oz. .5 BTC = Aprox $5.50. So 1 gram silver spot price is about $0.875, which means you are asking 628.5% spot value. Even with shipping, isn't that kind of incredibly high?

These "art bars" were mass produced when silver was cheap and sold as novelties. People sell them for $10 each, but nobody buys them at that price unless they don't know anything about silver.

I will pay $1 each, plus postage for lettermail. The price you are asking is way to high. If I could sell my silver for that price I would be a happy man.

It is rarely effective to base the value of something off of the ebay price. You could try selling them on ebay but you may find it takes a very long time for people to buy them at those prices.

Still have these for sale.
I have 12 art bars, 1 heart round, 1 panda round all 1g each 1 vial of copper shot 1 vial of silver shot and 1 vial of gold flakes.
These are novelty items not really for investment as such.

Any more offers?
I will not sell at $1 each though.

You might have to wait for silver to go up to $110 per oz before you get the price you want.

I have more than what is shown, that is just to give you an idea.

I have the 3 vials in the photo, the 4 art bars in the photo, 8 other art bars (some duplicates from the photo and some other designs) 1 heart shaped round, 1 panda round.

I am really looking for offers at the moment on anything/all , some people think my pricing is rather high I am not desperate to sell however and comparing these products to the silver spot price like previously mentioned is wrong because they are more novelty/cutesy items not for investment as such.

I would really like 2.5 BTC for the vials and 4 bars if at all possible, including international shipping.
If you wanted the other 8 bars & 2 rounds I would be open to offers.

How much are the vials and what exactly is in the one on the right? Also, could I see a picture of the panda (round) please?

The vials are gold flakes, silver flakes and copper flakes.
I will upload a photo of the panda round later.
Just so you know incase it isnt obvious the photo is enlarged as the bars are 1g and the vials are quite small too.
Just so I am not misleading anyone...

Taking offers on the vials...

The gold flake vials that I have seen in the past has such a tiny amount of gold in them that they value at only a few cents.

Some are real gold leaf, others are gold over base leaf. Either way the mass of gold is negligible.

I have sheets of gold leaf still as intact square sheets in paper, these sheets have about 12 cents worth of gold each in them.

As I have said before guys the value is not in the metal but the novelty.
I have never tried to say otherwise, the vials do contain very small amounts of metal and the bars/rounds are 1g.
These are for "fun" "art" "novelty" and "cute"
