Yeh, it's paid itself off a couple times for me. I really want to play around with litecoin mining but I can't seem to get all 4 running under xubuntu 12.04 with cgminer and bfgminer.

Whole rig is local pickup only (Dallas Area). Also willing to part out and ship if no one is interested in the whole rig

I would be interested in one or two of the 5970s OEM if you decide to part it out, I'm located in Canada.

also interested in 5970's. the power supply is too expensive for my taste though, unless you're letting it go for cheap. i'm located zip code 54501

i could do local pickup on it, maybe.  i drove to houston for a $2000 deal back in march, dallas is closer.

does the motherboard have a power switch or do you just short it to start it or what?

(doesn't the 1200W Corsair get super hot with 4 5970's?  or would it just have issues if you tried to overclock?)

Sorry to tease, I'm going to let the minecart pay itself off one more time before I start considering any lowball offers.

BTC->$13

"I'll keep it a little longer..."

BTC->$14

"holding on for a while"

Not going to lie, increasing bitcoin value played a major part in me suspending the sale. If BFL releases ASICs in October, the rig as a whole may be worthless. However, the rig should have put around 600 - 800 dollars back in my pocket. At that point I'm assuming I can still get >200 for the PSU, maybe 250 for each 5970 and around 150 for the rest of the components.

in person in DFW?     i wonder if someone in the dallas area even has 2 BFL *singles, but then you'd have to find someone willing to trade them for gpu's

what is the cash equivalent of 2 BFL *singles?

would you consider trading any hardware for the taking of someone's virginity?

Pirate probably has a few, although one of the 5970s in my rig was originally his so not sure he would want to buy it back. Someone might be close and willing to drive, worth a shot. I don't really feel like taking the rig apart and shipping it.

Cash equivalent, I'm putting it at $1600 even though I wouldn't personally pay more than $700 a piece for BFL singles. If someone is willing to meet up for a trade I'm willing to take that $200 loss.

I don't really want to miss out on any mining time. What I can do if you are interested is 2 new BFL single orders and $300, but you'll have to wait until the singles arrive for me to ship the rig(3-4 weeks now?)

Okay would you do this deal...same as above but only $200 and you ship rig right away but I'll mine for you until Singles arrive, the less $100 to cover electricity, maintenance and the lowering value of 5970's since you started this thread

This would take approximately 4 months to pay off at current BTC rate
Yeh, it's paid itself off a couple times for me. I really want to play around with litecoin mining but I can't seem to get all 4 running under xubuntu 12.04 with cgminer and bfgminer.

I had the same issue on my 4 card rigs. Finally bit the bullet and put win7 on a partition and there they work. You're linux isn't right dude =P

I got it working actually, I had installed the 32bit version which doesn't support 8 GPUs. Went to 64 bit Xubuntu and everything is good to go.
