So we have 0.1 in assets and 100k in (shitty) liabilities that you can currently sell for 0.05BTC.

What makes you think that a quality designer would even give you the time of the day by replying to your utterly moronic waste of a space post. Most half talented designers make more than that in an hour. Go tell daddy about your ventures and ask him for an advance on your allowance, add that up with your milk money, break your piggy bank, sell your xbox and you might have a chance of finding someone.

Ok guys, here is my entry.

Incorporated the checkbox in the logo, as is also used in the MUE logo.
I used clean typography, two color options.

Yet another one of these threads.

Where my fellow artists are pitted against each other for table scraps. I'm sorry, but I cannot forgive OP, for taking advantage of graphics artist's (needs for money), and not respecting the Graphics design trade.

Threads like these, do not offer a service, nor request a service. They should be moved to another sub forum (Trash).

I know that I may get some flak for posting something like this, but I am truly disgusted with this. And I must make my opinion vocal on this to help inspire (if any) of my fellow artists to take a stand from threads like these.

To my fellow designers: Some of the work in here is really really good. Even better than most of my personal compositions. I understand that you need to make money, or perhaps you just want to build up your portfolios.. But is this really acceptable? To be put against other artists for someone who doesn't know the value of what we do? To be paid IF YOU WIN only a fraction of what you should have rightfully charged? You guys are talented! 0.2 BTC? That's what he should be paying hourly.

I urge anyone who respects themselves, and their trade, to withdraw from this contest. Because by abiding by something like this, it gives the other uninformed start-ups and entrepreneurs the impression that these kind of things are normal. That graphics design is "Cheap" and not worth compensating a designer a wage.

Great to have such a strong opinion and passion for this, I have no problem with that.

I guess there are people who enjoy designing, and maybe it's not just the payment, but that potentially their design may be used for quite some time to come?

I do agree though, that there has been some really great work produced, and if I could pay more I would, and infact, the comp started with 0.1BTC, but I felt obliged to increase it based on the quality of the work coming in.  Also, I have been paying, though humble, small tips in MUE, just for the entries.

I don't think we'll agree on this, however, I respect your stance on this subject.

But contests are not uncommen in the industry.
Yes it can be a 'waste' of time when you loose, thats why you have to win!  ;)
It is a free market. There is little work for a lot of people so the price goes down.

I respect all 3 opinions about this subject, especially from MaliceRed, and i have one of my own.
I my case, there is no problem to withdraw all entries from all threads like this, and to wait customers on my website: www.logocreator.us , but i have some limitations like i can't recieve payments tru PayPal for sometime now, i love crypto world so i found a way to be in crypto world and to offer my designs for btc. I know that so far my designs was undervalued, and time is coming when i will make a good, fair fixed price in BTC connected with $.

And yes it is true, i love to design. Sometimes i am designing for fun.
Also i am web designer too.
There is cases when some of forum members didn't pay for my work. I don't want to elaborate more about them.
And yes as LitcoinCollector says, hard times coming.

I agree with you but again i feel that designers are too many here and work is limited and that is what is been the problem here, I was surprised when someone posted he was paid 0.0009 btc , are you serious ? less than 5 cents . But unless designers are happy with that I dont think its a problem.

I thought giving a tip just for entering a submission was a sign of goodwill, and also, as I said, the initial price was 100k MUE + 0.1BTC, and I increased that to 0.2BTC after seeing the quality of the work received.

I think overall I am being fair, and no one is being forced to submit work, and to those that have, I am grateful, and I have tried to be fair and friendly :)

The decision is not mine alone it is a group decision, and we will only decide once this is closed.
Personally I have two favourites from two different designers, but like I say, it's not my decision to make alone.

but maybe tell us your favorite so people dont waste time.

I don't understand.

I mean root out some entries which you dont use at all, so those people stop hoping and get dissapointed when result comes. Even though post that they may win, in case your community likes them, this will also give people an idea what you like and what you dont.

That defeats the premise of a competition.
We'll just leave this open until the comp is closed then post our decision.
It's not like it's a lottery win ;)

The team have decided that the winner is litcoincollector.
We felt the logo captured some important aspects of our current branding.
The colour.
The "M".
The "tick".
We also thought it felt like a soft friendly logo that was not too corporate.
