UCoinTeam, why another thread? People should know that the coin's been established for months and that you've been dedicated and developing new features all that time, but with a new thread it's not so obvious. Maybe you could add some dates to the OP. Hope one day to see a UCoin thread more than 100 pages long.

Do you mean you are having technical problems getting the game to run or you don't know how to play snake?

If it is technical problems you will have to wait for dev to answer but if just don't know how to play then it is quite easy.  You are a snake that grows when it eats Ucoins.  Eat as many Ucoins as you can without running into your tail or a wall.

not technical problems, I thought it was odd as the usual game of snake you would be moving and would then collect the other parts of the snake, on my S3 the blue dot just remains in the centre and does not move although I can see the Ucoins, the main blue snake is not moving, am I going mad or is this a tech issue do you think?

ya that kinda sounds like it isn't initializing properly or something.  The game is supposed to work as you think.

This is just a suggestion for you to consider though, I don't really if many nowadays are interested in looking into history to understand something :)

I had also hard time playing USnake on my Android tablet. It didn't work the way I expected it to work. Thought maybe thats a glitch visible on my tablet only (specific screen sizes etc). Would be nice to see a short video of the gameplay process, to understand if what I get on the tablet is how it is supposed to work.

The game is designed so that more people are blocks, the higher game diff, and the faster moving snake. If a few days people will not find blocks, the diff reduced.

I suppose that is because you try to login using your regular email and email password. That's not the way to go..
You should register first in Web-wallet, then you can login using the registered email/ucoin password. The same credentials can be used to login to any UWallet.

Folks, is there anybody who is able to play USnake and earn coins in Android version..?  ???

I tried to play on two different Android devices, but mostly what I get the wall starts to move and game ends even before any coins shows up! Is it just me so bad in gaming, or there is a bug in Android version?

Diff is very high, so snake moves very quickly. Should be directed snake, so it doesn't hit wall (in general it isn't a wall, this is gap :))

Yes volume is decent comparing total c-cex exchange volume. With more services and bigger exchange price could go up to 50K sat. But if we have some great services why sell at all.

As far as I know the burned coins from the X15 chain didn't get transferred over to the new X11 chain.  So I don't think they show up in the coin total at all anymore.


I do wonder how many of the coins from the old chain failed to be swapped though. At least one user in this thread reported that they had 30k they did not swap in time.  So I think there is a portion of the coin total that will never see the exchange.  I don't think the ICO burn is even represented anymore in that 2.6M coin total though.

If you don't mind me asking, by installing the uwallet for ios you have to download it on your comp then manually put the .ipa file into your library.  Is this a way to bypass the app approval process by the app store?  and is there possibility of apple shutting down the app, thus rendering the coins we have stuck in an app that doesn't exist anymore?

Even if Apple shut down the app somehow by some reason, you will not lose your coins, because you can always get them using the same account/password in Web-wallet, or in any of UWallets on other operating systems (Android, Windows, Linux etc). See above :)  But really there is just not much to talk about.  The coin works great, the blockchain is secure, updates come out on time.  We could spam the thread to bump it constantly but that isn't something I am going to personally do.  I like that the more observant people discover Ucoin on their own, many people over look it because they are short sighted.

To summarize for people that need one:  Coin is 6 months old.  Dev has stuck with it and updated consistently.  IOS andriod and OSX snake game for winning Ucoin.  Special Uwallet, Webwallet with built in trading.  Great coin for spreading around because of its ease of Use.

when i downloaded the new wallet its asking for an email, something that i didnt have to use for the old wallet i had

In regards to the new wallet asking for an email it sounds like you downloaded the Uwallet rather than the QT.  You can get the newest QT at ucoin.name at the top where it says wallets just choose your system.

Make sure you backup your wallet.dat file and then launch the new QT.  Maybe that will help with the error too?

I'm pretty sure it was a qt wallet that I installed, it says in the error ucoin-qt.exe....I feel like I got this error before with other coins but I can't remember the remedy for it. Really hope I didn't lose all my coins cuzzzzz....never really got around to backing the wallet.dat up....shoot

Well there is no login for the QT so that is what led me to consider you might have inadvertently downloaded the Uwallet, which does require login.

I bet we can get it working for you.  First make sure you do backup your wallet.dat no matter what state it is in.  At least you will have a current backup.

Next download the fresh QT.
Goto your %appdata% folder and rename or remove the Ucoin folder (REMINDER MAKE SURE TO SAVE YOUR WALLET.DAT)
Then run the new QT.  It will recreate the Ucoin folder and make a new wallet.dat
Then close the wallet.  Put a copy of your wallet.dat backup into the new Ucoin folder.
Launch and let it synch the chain.

It should be good then.  Let me know if you need any further assistance.

This coin really has a nice foundation, but a specific purpose would maybe help? One thing in my opinion that plagues every crypto currency is point of entrance....but I guess that's painfully obvious to any enthusiasts..

I agree that it has a nice foundation.  Ucointeam has continued to put in work month after month and it doesn't appear to be about to stop.

The coin would definitely benefit from some marketing but I do not think it needs a specific purpose, why limit it to any particular function?  People could build services and find creative ways to use Ucoin the same way they have for other blockchains.  Then advertise those services or utilities and in turn they will be bringing attention to Ucoin.  Ucointeam mentioned that they are working on a service that will accept Ucoin.  Will be fun to see what gets cooked up.

Ultimately though the success of Ucoin will be because of more people participating in trading and people utilizing the blockchain to create opportunities for themselves.

Looking around this forum it is easy to see so many threads full of frustrated people when their coin is abandoned or plagued with technical or community problems.  Here with Ucoin I see a coin that although it has perhaps been marginalized and ignored by the community at large it has persevered through and is not about to slow down.  The community is growing, the coin works, and the dev is still updating. 

This is a great time to get into Ucoin.

For real. This Dev needs time but he keeps delivering.. There is a great potential here. Adding services or inviting other developers to build services would increase usabillity x 100

Can anyone help me?  I have reset my password multiple times and have been unable to get in.  No matter what it always says invalid email or password regardless of whether i use website or wallet.  Anyone have any ideas ? ive sent support emails too and i think they just sent me a password reset.

The explorer is nice looking, but not really usable, as it does not allow to see balances or click on TX numbers or block numbers to see the content... No way to see the TX by address too. It cannot replace the bitexp.net explorer in its current stage, as its very basic.

Also I am not sure it works correct. I have entered the block 506043, and can see this line "Flags:   Proof-Of-Work". How that could be? PoW is ended long ago, and block 506043 is recent one. I believe this cannot be correct.

What is this? And how to read this info?
As you know, most of the coins have very similar code bases. But any little bug could potentialy damage the whole blockchain. To avoid this, people started to check the code both manually and automatically.  As I know ocminer automatically checks code for already known bugs, so his checks couldn't find new bugs. Earlz checks code manually, but he also could miss something, because codebase is very huge. I chose different way. I wrote the script which compare code in one coin with code in other already inspected coins. So if you see something like "Good blackcoin arch " it means that i already inspected this code before in blackcoin's and arch's source, and I think that it's safe. When my script finds new code it asks me to check it manually and tells me which codebases is most similar, so 'CBlock::ConnectBlock                Most similar blackcoin, diff=5, codehash=1a0a6fb0d9bc6aefff4e'  means that most similar code of CBlock::ConnectBlock have seen in blackcoin and there is 5 places where something was changed.
Currently i check only most important functions in main.cpp.
