Title: Alt coins which do not use the same ECDSA as Bitcoin
Post by: No_2 on March 25, 2015, 10:52:25 AM
I'm looking for a list of cryptocurrencies which do not use the same ECDSA as Bitcoin.

To give the inverse case, from what I understand, altcurrencies like Litecoin, PPCoin and Teracoin could all use the same public/private key pair as a Bitcoin transaction.

Nxt uses...

...elliptic curve analog of modified* http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/KCDSA (EC-KCDSA).

--------
* - the modification affects hardware EC-KCDSA solutions that are forced to receive a whole message instead of its digest.

... so is different from bitcoin.

Monero uses EdDSA, specifically the Ed25519 implementation of EdDSA.

The Nxt clones like HZ and NFD are no doubt the same.
