It was reported that the medium, 57, befriended one of the girls’ mother, a banana fritter seller, at her stall two months ago. On March 21, when the mother told the man that her daughter, 14, and niece, 17, were being disturbed by spirits, he claimed that he was a medium and was able to chase away the spirits. He then took the two girls to a secluded place and asked the younger one to wait a distance away while he carried out “exorcism” on her cousin. He then touched the girl’s neck, fondled her breasts and private parts. He then took the younger victim to a vacant factory nearby and did the same to her.
