They are using the Media to get people to use there wallets plus they want you to verify your identity on there as well.

If I assume that the card works in my country "India" too, there is no local store that accepts bitcoins. The guy behind Xapo seems pretty respectable and also pretty dedicated to ensuring the success of bitcoin. Perhaps, he's thinking this new advancement would go over well and be pretty beneficial to ordinary people to be able to use bitcoin w/o knowing the intricacies of it.
