I'm looking forward to new ECC eCurrency.

New Start, New Beginnings and hopefully a fruitful rebirth for us all.

Why not use v 0.10 Core code?
Maybe some pseudonymus system to change coins? What about coins in exchange?

Did nobody even bother reading my last post on the old thread??? https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=647254.msg10910919#msg10910919

No this has nothing to do with the old ECC, that went defunct a year or more ago.

The current ISO E-Currency coins will be swapped for the new ECC eCurrency coins.
They will be swapped on a 1 for 1 basis from a pre-mine that has been done on the new incarnation.

An Abe blockchain explorer is being worked on for both the old and new coins. It shall be up soon, so all can see for themselves how much there is of each coin in total and be able to see every swap hopefully.

The maine particulars are not set as yet and Adaryian shall post an update in the near future.

Please take the time to read my last post on the original E-Currency thread https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=647254.msg10910919#msg10910919

More information will become available in due course.

ECC is not dead it is listed on a exchange and it being traded. I also hold and stake ECC.

https://www.allcoin.com/trade/ECC_BTC
24h Volume
0.2323 BTC
11,829,190.3846 ECC

You should have changed it to eCUR or eCNY but not a ticker from another coin which creates confusion. I missed your last post otherwise I would have said something about the ticker change.

You should change ticker. Because ECC is already being used by Easy Clear Coin.

The whole point of a ticker is that nobody uses the same one so you can easily identify a coin. The exchanges use them to indicate markets and twocoins using the same ticker messes their system up.

My responses will be in bold.  Please give me time to respond.  If I get bombarded by a lot of people I'd rather do a single response covering multiple questions.

-----

There is already a coin with the ticker ECC (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=728071.0)

What do we do if we hold coins in the old wallet?

We had looked all over and only came across one that was using ECC over a year ago and was one page in length.  We thought it was free to use.  We checked all major exchanges and the result was nothing.  If we cannot trade that one specific exchange, than so be it.

As I have said, please PM me.  I will accept the old ISO with a specific address that is new and unused and you'll be the only one who can deposit into it.  Let me know your ECC address and whatever you send me I will send you back 1:1 in ECC in exchange for ISO until ISO has died off.

is this the same as old ECC? what will happen to our old coins ?

This is eCurrency formerly known as E-Currency.  We had an overwhelming amount of previous issues, and instead of just dropping the coin, we opted to do an exchange 1:1 ratio for previous coins to this one, so no one gets left out.

Why not use v 0.10 Core code?
Maybe some pseudonymus system to change coins? What about coins in exchange?

We will do a client upgrade in the future.  Right now we're more concerned about getting the coin back in running condition.  Future updates are surely to come.  We are working with what code we have and what we know will work.  We are doing a 1:1 exchange on ISO -> ECC .. That being said, we are again giving notice as Cryptocollector had said, "Pull your coins.."  I hope you'll work out the needed code should you wish for a P2Pool for the new currency.  If so, I'll be very happy to put one up! :)

also if this is ISO why you put ECC in the ann !!! ???

Because the topic is of ECC not ISO and there is only so much room in the topic to write information.  If I had more I'd put ISO to ECC but I don't.

well, i'm watching this coin

Awesome!  Glad to have you, and hope to have more!  I hope everyone can see we're trying to be as transparent about this very difficult process and on top of that making sure everyone who was with us before is taken care of to the best of our abilities as well.  This is a difficult transition, we completely understand.  But this is the route we took.  If you don't like the route we took, move along.  We don't need any FUD or trolling.   This is a very serious subject to us and we're working very diligently on resolving every matter that comes to us.  Most importantly, patience is key.  If you happen to post something in the thread and it does not get resolved in a timely manner, please do not hesitate to PM me.  It may of simply been overlooked, not ignored.

You should change ticker. Because ECC is already being used by Easy Clear Coin.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=728071.0

We're not changing ECC ticker.  The ticker may of been used by another crypto, but there is no patent or likewise to state that they own said ticker.   When it comes to an exchange, please make note that most exchanges don't just put the ticker ID next to it, they also include the crypto's name as well.  If this seems to be a bigger issue down the road, then potentially; yes.. we will change it.  For now it stays.

You should change ticker. Because ECC is already being used by Easy Clear Coin.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=728071.0

The whole point of a ticker is that nobody uses the same one so you can easily identify a coin. The exchanges use them to indicate markets and twocoins using the same ticker messes their system up.

As I've said above it doesn't really matter too much.  If you have a problem differentiated between two cryptos who have the same ticker then I wish you luck in trading.  I'd suggest to pay attention for now.  We are not trading on the same exchange they are, so really there is no issues.  We will continue to use ECC.  The strong prevails.  So should they make it to stronger exchanges before us then we will look into further development of changing the ticker.

I do want to state however, it was a complete oversight.  We had looked all over for ECC and only came up with a dead coin.  Again we did some Google searches and checked major exchanges and resulted with nothing, thus making us think it was available.  But right now our focus is not for a ticker.  It is to get the currency moving again since it had been dead for a while, when there were issues.  We will fix what needs to be fixed when the timing is right.  The ticker ID is not on the highest priority list right now and when that comes we want to give enough notice for everyone to update their clients.  Probably when we update the client from 0.8.6 to the latest release based off of Bitcoin at that time.

Hope that answers some questions.

Thanks,
Adaryian

Looks like we already have quite the hashing power going on right now.

Many things to do tomorrow.  Please be sure to get all your ISO back into your local wallet so we can begin giving you a 1:1 exchange.  Any block mined of ISO past 5pm EST on March 28th, 2015 will not be credited.

I'll be in touch with everyone tomorrow.  Any questions/comments, please be sure to leave them on this thread!

Thanks,
Adaryian

1. What snapshot and on which version of ISO you make to get accounts balances?
2. Do people should use ISO client version before tragic hardfork?
3. What addresses will be used (1.... or E....) and how 1:1 swap will be done when old chain is forked and broken?

This is really not easy task to replace failed launch and even more failed hard fork.
You should reconsider and tell all of us what and how you want to do.

There will be a roadmap for the development of the coin.  We have already had conversations with a larger company in the media industry who is wanting to adopt a crypto.  Beyond that I can't really say more, honestly.  I'm not really allowed to as it's not set in stone at least in terms of time frame.  So I don't want to give any sort of accurate or inaccurate dates.  Also we're waiting on a formal meeting with some key figures of the company.

We do believe that this will be a large increase in the value of eCurrency.

1.) 0.8.6 The Original E-Currency, the one with the address that's starts with the number '1'.
2.) Read #1.
3.) We are using addresses that start with '1' .  The old chain wouldn't be forked and broken, because there will always be a few connections.. as we're still running the client/daemon and we will mine the few blocks needed to get those ISO into one location for the 1:1 swap.  The first part is getting people to start swapping their old ISO balance out with the new one.

Also thank you for updating the README.md -- It was so late I didn't notice the bad formatting.  Appreciate the help on that.

Thanks for your input.

We just rebirthed our currency as of yesterday.  It's not even been 24 hours.  You're no use at all.  Go somewhere else.

A thief and agressive....good combo

Why not call your coin BTC or could you not think of that?

I've updated the original post to state we will be replacing the ECC with the ticker eCC.

Again, from the beginning we didn't find anything regarding ECC and thought it was open for use.  While we're not currently on an exchange, and we're not planning on being on an exchange this very second as that is not our goal to just trade the currency to BTC as of this very second and have further plans, it will be coming soon enough along with other updates to the client/daemon.

I would appreciate it if any heated messages be removed.  I have removed any heated messages of mine from the thread as it is serving no valuable purpose.  My apologies go out to ECC for this mistake as it was unintentional and was not directly to affect them in anyway from the get go.

Our official pool will be going down for a quick maintenance.  There are some lines of code I need to adjust for better efficiency.  It won't take long.  Probably about 5 minutes.  This will happen at 12PM EDST.

It will soon be eCC so that it will not cause any issues with another crypto we were unaware of.  But thanks for the warm welcome! :)

Had some people contact me. Got a few messages. So i figured id post here.

I would ask that you please find another ticker symbol and name for your coin. ECC is being used by TrustedCryptos the code group i am the main dev for. You proposal to change to eCC is impractical for exchanges and in general. Even though strings are case sensitive in code, if an exchange uses mysql and the .tolower () fucntion or actually... any tolower function or toupper for any langauges  then both my ticker and yours will show up as identical. As for as e currency. We are using the name electronic currency coin for larger number of exchanges so this will also be confusing for them.
I please ask that you change your coin name and symbol to something else as what you have chosen is already taken. To enforce my point a simple google of ecc coin. (Which if people dont know the name and just google the symbol + coin) will just end up bringing them to the many links to my coins stuff. Which if anything else would hinder your growth because now you are trying to compete on googles valid link webcrawler with another coin. As we are currently talking to bittrex about a relisting... i dont see this becoming any easier in the future.

Thank you
-Griffith

Neither do I.  Again, it was a simple accident.  We're not pursuing an exchange right now.  We have some core coding that needs to be addressed and updated before we re-design the UI and change the ticker.  Those are easy fixes.  We plan on changing it from eCC or ECC or any variant of it.  We all just started out on the wrong foot.  I apologized for my heated messages and at first didn't take that into consideration about any variance of ECC.  The ticker will be updated on the next release, which will be before we're pursuing an exchange.  Thank you for putting in your feedback with us, it's much appreciated.  I just hope that other members could remove their remarks about us as it was all unintentional and it escalated quickly.

Thanks,

Hi ,

IMO
Them being ECC and you being eCC will still be confusing if on the same exchange.

Also by choosing a small e verses a E , it looks weaker from a marketing perspective.

ECurrency or E-Currency is a good name, but what about these options for trading symbol.

ECRY  , ECRR , ECU , ECUR , ECR , ERRY, ECRN  , ECNY , ECRC , E-CRY, E-CUR, EUR , EURR

Good Luck whatever you chose.

Thanks for your input.  We have actually decided to go with eCur as the new title has said and the first post has been updated to a while ago.  We're actually working with some devs from ECC to help expedite the process of it all.  It was a simple accident and wasn't intentional.

Hope to have you with us! :)

Hello fellow miners!

There are some miners with some higher balances than we would like to see in our database.  Please make sure you have updated your account details (Check spam folder as well.) for confirmation link to update your profile.

Please be sure to set your eCurrency address as well as your minimum payout.

We currently have payouts every 5 minutes and along with that, only 5 confirmations to confirm your mined coins now.

Thanks,
Adaryian

https://s3.amazonaws.com/github-cloud/releases/32950205/57b01a9c-d3fa-11e4-87cb-6589f2c41cb2.zip?response-content-disposition=attachment%3B%20filename%3DeCurrency.zip&response-content-type=application/octet-stream&AWSAccessKeyId=AKIAISTNZFOVBIJMK3TQ&Expires=1427717483&Signature=H9HP7gK7bAvEEewrFVKw0Fcs57Q%3D

I can't speak for Github on how the download redirect works.  If you'd feel more comfortable me uploading a zip to one of our servers, I can always put an alternative download link to our website.  I just figured having it on Github with its source would be the most ideal situation.

But, I have no explanation to why you had gotten a weird different sized download..  that is strange.

The new linux repo has an issue with it.. we're working on it.. When you try to run it, it fails.. in the ecurrency.conf add connect=198.8.60.101 and if you want connect=82.19.214.103 and connect=162.221.220.45

We'll get this resolved ASAP and have the new Windows client out shortly after.

Sorry folks, been pretty busy in the background doing stuff...
Kept meaning to pop back in to check on things.

Everybody doing okay!

We may have the possibility of AlcurEx exchange doing the coin swap for us. Just waiting for final confirmation on this.

More details will follow soon.

I'm working on fixing a few last changes to eCurrency to release an updated wallet for Windows, Linux and OSX.

I'm hoping to have everything done and updated within the next few days.  Sorry for the delay, just want to make sure things are done correctly.

Our official pool will be going down for a quick maintenance.  There are some lines of code I need to adjust for better efficiency.  It won't take long.  Probably about 5 minutes.  This will happen at 12PM EDST.

Thanks,
Adaryian
How Long????!!
I'm drunk and i want to go to bed.
Waiting for Register And get my Rigs working in your pool.

Ha! Cheers to that! -- I am adjusting the server, as it will be running multiple pools, not only eCurrency.   The website is being updated to www.crypto-miners.club

I'll be having a Bitcoin pool, eCurrency, Shadow Coin, DigitalCoin and probably a few others that I personally have a lot of interest in and think that they'll do well in.  More than likely I'll add Zetacoin too as I have a past with them and they're also a great bunch of people.

So for the mean time, just keep your eyes out on www.Crypto-Miners.Club -- Catchy name I thought.. examples for mining will be Bitcoin.Crypto-Miners.Club and eCurrency.Crypto-Miners.Club, ShadowCoin.Crypto-Miners.Club, etc..

I'll update this very soon.  I'm updating the blockchain for Bitcoin right now.  It was bootstrapped and it still takes a minute to fully sync up..

Any news adaryian?  I'm mining it but seems to be very slow!  Has anyone tried to put it on Yobit, I'll send them an email if you want? they normally add coins within 2 days after I've emailed them.

I'm going as quick as I can.  I'm really sorry for the delay.  It's worth the delay to have a good client compatible for all OS's.  I'm sure I'll have our public pool up today.

I know.  I'm making multiple updates on it locally right now, before I make a test branch prior to release.

As things turned out, I was hacked/RAT'd, less than two days later. So it may have been the intruder messing with the links.

Please post the correct file size and the MD5 and SHA checksums.

Well, you probably had already had a virus on there.  THE ONLY way to download eCurrency is via Github.  -- That being said, if you have received a virus from downloading eCurrency it was either A.) You had a rootkit or some trojan already hijacking links or B.) Github has been hacked and it has only targeted eCurrency.

You choose the logical solution.

Also, looking at your trust; I'm about to leave some more if you don't leave this thread.

Hello from alcurEX.
I don't know where we are going with old ISO and new eCur?
I will remove ISO market until we have some method how our customers can get ISO coins changed to eCur.
ISO withdraw is not possible because coin have no active network.
Anyway all coins are safe on wallet and waiting how to continue..

You misinformed monkeys.

The original ECC is still functional and currently under the wing of the Trusted Crypto team.

Oh crypto, you so funny.

We know ECC is still functional.  We have talked to them and in fact they have been helping us.  They're a great bunch of people.  At the time we did this initially it was ECC however, that was because we hadn't found anything resulting in ECC that was current.  We didn't know ECC was in use.  We have since switched to eCur as the top of the post says pretty clearly.  It was merely an accident.

When git code will be fixed?

I'm currently on a friends computer.  My personal budget is tight right now and my motherboard is out.  Should have a new one soon, but not stating a date since things always seem to happen in three's ha.  So hopefully soon.

Will update when I can.

This is really old, but, I have a few nodes up since I liked the name.  I been lurking for a while..

If anyone knows how to upgrade it, or get it going, there could be some ideas that I might be able to bring to the table.

PM me if interested?  Otherwise, it's alive again.. ?
