Two questions to you?

1. How did you get it?

2. How does it make you feel?

Thanks  :D

P.s: The most I have owned is around 10 Bitcoins and it felt great  :D

I was sort of wondering how many people would migrate to the 1000 BTC club post when I saw the two threads posted at around the same time

They sometimes get bored and check whats going on I bet  this forum is the original so it encompassed ancient to new users some who likely have 1k lol :)

Nobody will share this information honestly if they possess that many Bitcoins.

See here:

Notice how many people said they own more than a million BTC?
People don't respond to such questions honestly and openly.

Do you really think someone will come here and reply "At the moment I'm owning +500 btc". This is not secure and it will turn himself ina target of dishonest hackers, and definitely it will break his privacy.

PS: However http://nodownloadzoneforum.net/public/style_emoticons/default/Asd.gif at the moment I have > 15 btc.

At current rates? Are you sure? Of course someone can try to send him a keylogger, or can try some other trickery, but those things are relative easily manageable for an experienced guy like redsn0w. Probably nobody going to kidnap him for 15 BTC :).
...>1000 BTC however is a different kind of animal. That money could attract some unwanted attention.

No I am not afraid "to be hacked" at the end is only 15 btc (as you have said). Do you think that with 1'000 bitcoin you are rich? You are rich also with 10 dollars, 10 btc, 10 euro, 1 rublu....  Who gives the value to "money", we are giving the value to a thing not the contrary or am I wrong?

I hope to not be "kidnapped" for only 15 btc http://nodownloadzoneforum.net/public/style_emoticons/default/Asd.gif but with a strong security and a little knowledge of PC everyone will be ablo to "manage" his own money.

I agree. I think you'll find most people come here just for fun/to scam/ or to sell items once in a while.  Or make a small amount from sig campaigns.

People don't respond to such questions honestly and openly.

Threads like this are usually created by people with no ill intention and they are just being curious about lucky people who got rich in the early stage of bitcoin.
The hard part is that this thread can also be viewed by potential scammers/hackers who will note that someone bragging about bitcoins is indeed rich individual and they will target his account for ransom of some sort.

I don't think anyone will post all that info here, given the hacks and wallet robberies going on right now. And if someone is having more than 1K coins, then most certainly he would have bought them in 2011 or earlier, when the coins were going at $0.10 apiece.  ;D

He is kind of a scamming legend and most of you guys who try scamming just wish you could do it as well is this sh*t head.  :D ;D :D

Needles to say i am not in the 1000btc club and won't be unless it drops to $1 so i will never be.

It's not just having 1000 BTC ...it's keeping them safe.

Most people with 1000 BTC would most probably split them up into smaller paper wallets / cold storage anyway... So it would be next to impossible to hack them.

People with that amount of BTC would probably want some anonymity to protect them from being hassled for money by beggars. Have you ever spoken to people who have won the lottery? I have.. They say it's ridiculous to what extent people would go to beg for money... Family and friends crawl out of cracks to be your friend and then they lie and scam their way into getting at it.

It's just better to stay anonymous.... less hassles.  ;D {You can help people being anonymous too}

Stunna: 20k+   he owns the biggest dice site, and over 4 billion bets, almost 4 million btc wager. 1% of the house edge, it means he at least has earned over 40k+ BTC.

Addi: 10k+ owns a casino, too

And many biggest casino owners, at least 5K+ btc.

No one would ever share this information to others, as they might be targeted by hackers knowing that they possess x amount of btc. The most probable owners of 1000 btcs are those who mined when the difficulty was still low.

Can't be sure about that. Stunna's annual revenue might be more than BTC20,000. But how can you be sure that he is keeping all of that in the form of BTC? He might have converted a large part of his stash in to fiat or bullion. Also, there are a lot of expenses associated with running an online gambling site.

Let me classify those who are having more than 1K coins:

1. Satoshi
2. A small fraction of the early adopters, who refrained from cashing out their coins in 2012 and 2013.
3. Owners of Bitcoin-based business ventures, such as exchanges and gambling sites.
4. A very small number of institutional investors, such as the Winkelwii.
5. Thieves and hackers, such as Mark Karpeles and Thomas Jiřikovský.

1. Very likely. He/she was the creator of Bitcoin after all.
2. Probable. Those who believed that the ath in November 2013 was nothing compared to what's in store for btc in the coming years.
3. Of course. Gambling sites rake in large amounts of btc due to their so-called "house edge." The house always wins after all.
4. Those who believe in the potential of bitcoin may be heavily invested, leaving us the conclusion that they could possibly hold thousands of BTC.
5. Errm, idk. If you are a part of the Mt. Gox incident, you might as well have some thousands of BTC situated in different addresses.

There'll be a handful of club members still here. I can imagine the old school might despair at what this forum has become but there are still some gems to unearth.

Large holders who are out in the open include Chamath Palihapitiya with somewhere north of 100,000, The Winklevii with a similar amount, some other British bloke who was interviewed had a similar amount, I've read that Max Keiser has or had 21,000, Dustin Trammell is reputed to have several hundred thousand, Roger Ver bought 300,000 back in the day.

It's a surprise there's any left for the rest of us.

If you want to join it these days then you can probably have it in a couple of months by running away from your darknet market.

And perhaps the richest member here apart from Satoshi was knightmb with an admitted 371,000. No idea whether he still has them but it's a pretty insane tale anyway. A syndicate of investors set up a mining farm. They drifted away from it and he bought them out for $5000.

Knightmb had BTC371,000 with him five years ago, in 2010. He might have sold most of his coins when the price went up. (Exchange rates went up from $0.001 in 2010 to $0.01 in 2011). Another chance is that he might have lost his interest in Bitcoins (he was last active here on December 2010), and would have thrown away his coins.  ;D
