Hi, I hope this is in the correct section. My question is are there any sites that allow buying Bitcoins with PayPal? If not, I could probably go buy a money order, or WU. Just got my tax refund, so I have a little over $3100 USD to spend. Thanks in advance!

You're looking at over 20% markup at virwox and probably the same at localbitcoin.

WU is a great option if you can find someone willing to pay or split the fees or if you're sending to a country with low fees. Once in awhile you'll see Romanian and Philippine sellers on localbitcoins selling at decent rates. It's something like $15 per $1k to send money to those countries.

C12H22O11Ray - Unless you plan on charging back, avoid all the newer and some older accounts here who are willing to sell for paypal. How it will go down: You send paypal funds, they transfer paypal funds out and you never hear back from them again or they delay with excuses until you give up and accept you've been scammed.

The virwox fees seem to be quite steep, unfortunately. You end up paying around 20% in fees.

Yes, for some of the deposits methods the fee is high, as for example with skrill, which you have mentioned in your message. However not that those are systems which are rarely offered as a deposit option in cryptocurrency exchanges. Regarding paypal deposit fee - the fee is set to 6% in comparison to the total 20% which you end up paying when using virwox.

virwox is the best way if you want to buy btc with paypal, but the fees is too high... ;D

I am not very much sure, but I think PayPal's user agreement prohibits the use of their payment network for buying digital currency.

It is very easy! I make a investment in carbon credits using my Paypal account (only accepts accounts verified) and do the withdrawal in Bitcoin.
Another option is to change the forum anyway.

i checked all the suggested sites here (Bitcoins via Paypal) and it seems  that in generally buying Bitcoin with Paypal is quiet pricy, you end up paying a lot on exchanges and commissions. You could try with the localbitcoins.com, because it has got lots of traders providing different payment gateways and buying convenience compared to other trading and exchange websites.

Scam how ? Are you telling us that since they request ID verification, the service is a scam? You are funny man. I guess there are lot of scam exchanges, etc. Did you know some online banks ask the same, and even a call video via skype. So don't over use the word "scam" because you are not happy with the site conditions

Many places are gone or stopped accepting paypal as payment methods. However, LakeBTC (http://www.cryptocoinsmania.com/lakebtc-review/) is still accepting it. Give it a try.

That's strange, I don't have to send a selfie when I buy stuff on other sites with Paypal, because Paypal have already verified my account years ago.
