Since this is holding true still I will explain.

That means buy the coins now.

They are fluctuating a little but hovering around the same level so don't panic.

After the coin goes up decide if you want to sell or hold longer, the orders and volume will give you indicators of the whats and whens.

If you're lucky you'll catch the full spread.

If you're not lucky you'll still profit.

If you are stupid, no luck (good or bad) will help you.

This is more about skill than luck. Luck is just a bonus.

First off, I sold all my START the moment that bigot told me to take my advertising elsewhere. I knew something was shady. I sold at 50k satoshis two days ago and damn glad I did. I was just enjoying the hype. :]

Second, I am almost positive Braino, your comment to me caused me to dump thousands and thousands of START which most likely caused a sell panic. Which may explain why it is now at 28k. Yep, Startcoin is another scam from Max Keiser. He was behind Quark and Maxcoin, now this is his new pump and dump scam. That's a quick summary. But I recommend others to read some of the posts on the thread link I quoted from 'sgk' for more details and why you shouldn't get involved with this useless coin.

If I was going to troll myself I would do a MUCH better job than this.

Yeah, no pump and no trading either. The last time the daily trade volume went above 1 BTC was in February 12. Investing in a coin which has zero movement is pretty much gambling. The supply is over 28 million and the price is around 500 sat. Who do you expect to buy your coins if no one's trading it? And if you move the price up you're asking to get dumped on by early investors. Unless you want to gamble for the profit of a slice of pizza, I wouldn't touch that coin.

what is the best alt coins out there? does alt coins means scrypt or it can also be sha-256?? there are few things i am not able to understand. the thing is alt coins are good alternatives to bitcoins, but since there are like dozens sprouting everyday its not going to make the market stable. if we just had 2 alt coins and bitcoin i really believe the market would be quite stable at some point. and giving it a fix price for one alt or one btc

can somebody explain to me the meaning of dump and pump??

i have an idea about dump, it means giving away your coins.. i think.

i saw on most post the words dump and pump.

Pump is something where you create some hype for a coin, spread true & false information about how a coin is going to skyrocket in terms of price and adoption. So several users are inclined to buy the coin, which shoots the price up - in some cases 10 times or even more. This is called a pump, because someone is actively trying to 'pump' the price. These people are generally the ones who have bought this coin at much lower prices and are willing to sell at higher price during the pump.

And when the pump happens, the 'bag holders' sell their coins at higher price, earning good profit. But since large quantity of the coin hits the market, the price comes down quickly. This is called a dump.

The only people profit from a pump & dump are the ones who take good judgement on when to sell (after the pump but before the dump).

But now that I've mined a variety of coins I've started to wonder about exchange. When you say you've bought x coins and sold them for y coins how do you do it?

I mean, is there a website for this? How do you convert a coin into another type of coin?

I really want to get into this, I'm having a lot of fun and I could see myself enjoying the exchange game.

At ~1300 sat there is an EASY 2x, 3x or more. It's been as high as ~9K so the climb to 4K or more is not a problem for this coin

If a coins is up 66% then it really isn't likely to increase even more. Especially if a coins is barely traded.
So your tips are essentially always late when a coin is already pumped and waiting to be dumped.

If there was a coin that could seeriously make you rich it was MINT coin.

This is my sad story: I sold all my MINT coin some months ago when there was not much activity going on with it. Nobody wanted to buy it and the price was 1 satoshi. I saw no real future for it and so I decided to sell all my MINT for 1 satoshi per coin and investmented in some other. Currently it is being traded at 16 satoshi. And if you consider the pump just a couple days ago, it reached a peak price of 39 satoshi!

The reason I leave all my coins in my wallets rather than making a few mBTC if a price of a coin crashes. Although the waiting only worth it like 1 in a hundred coins.
But there's a difference between already owned coins and investing into dieing new coins.

I never gave this coin a second look but seeing all this activity has perked my interest. More than likely missed the action already but wow what a nice amount of movement.  :o

Why would I be butthurt? I don't follow anyone's advice and my contribution is to point out that people shouldn't follow other people's investment advices on coins which has virtually $0 trading volume. And that fact that your tips are always happen when a coin is already pumped and waiting to be dumped so you're essentially looking to maximize your profit by trying to convience others to buy (and increase the price even more) so you can dump on them doesn't help either.

Pick a few coins with decent trade volume to prove me wrong and note the price when you announced your tip and note it a few days after.
