I'm tired of hearing about dollars, euros, pounds, gold, bonds, bailouts and nothing about the greatest financial invention of our times.

Default client is certainly not. Default client (Satoshi client) will never be ready for mainstream if it includes a full blockchain download. I predict that if Bitcoin ever goes mainstream it will be through some cloud wallet service like coinbase.com. Then, the only clients that might go mainstream will be 'light' clients like Electrum. People's attention spans these days are extremely short. A relatively few number of people will want to sit and wait for the blockchain to download. I would suspect BTC would be quoted on Bloomberg on a regular basis once it reaches say USD 50,000 to USD 100,000 to 1 BTC. Provide options such as USD 5000, USD 10000, USD 50000 and USD 100000 and then I will vote in this poll.
