People every day walk into a 'we buy your gold shop' and drop their gold for pennies simply because the guy behind the counter is giving cash, today. I would be offering an instant 100 pounds bank transfer to any UK bank account for a bitcoin. Some people might find that more convenient than playing the game of BTC/Paypal/through an exchange, wait a week for verification blah blah.
