In a MMO, hopefully decentralized version of Minecraft, one could condition every action of every player by a proof-of-work.
There was even somebody who made a mod for minetest about Bitcoin:
[Mod] Bitcoins [v2.1] [Bitcoins]

I've tested it in minetest 0.4.6 and once I got to a depth of -1000 at least I started finding some bitcent blocks...

Not that many bitcoiners who play minetest except DistroGeeks-MilesDyson? Version 0.4.6 is out. It's a very moddable free, libre open source game. You're losing out if you have not at least tried it! :D
