What does DOA stand for?

I've seen this in the context of P2Pool (https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/P2Pool) stales, specifically here (https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/P2Pool#Tips_to_configure_bfgminer_to_reduce_stale.2Fdoa:).

It probably means that the share is dead on arrival, so stale, since it is invalid.
However, the Bitcoin wiki really is a bad place to look for information; a lot of info there is outdated and makes no sense.

First, read the comments. We know that. Second, read the post, and read the context.
