There are many ones which I like, anyway I like very much Mafia movies ( even if I don't like Mafia, fo course... ).

Scarface and The Godfather movies are definitely among my favorites too. (So is T2, btw.) I posted a list of my favorites in one of the other movie threads.

I'd say Above the Law is fairly good, along with Up as well. They're my favourites.

The Matrix is definitely a five star movie for me, though the sequels were very disappointing. I need to watch them all again though as I haven't seen them in years.

The movie I've been most impressed with so far is definitely The Matrix (the first one). I was in London at the time and saw it in the theaters when it premiered. I went in stoned out of my mind and man what a trip!!  ;D Matrix is my overall favorite but I also really like Shawshank Redemption and Troy (yea I know).

I watched this movie only recently. I had watched PT Anderson's other movies before. And I knew Daniel Day-Lewis had won an Oscar for his portrayal of Daniel Plain view. So my expectations were quite high when I watched this movie. But the movie exceeded my expectations. Daniel Day-Lewis's performance is the best performance by any actor in any movie I have seen till date. Be it the gusher eruption sequence, or the 'I have abandoned my child' scene, or 'I drink your milkshake' sequence, the movie is filled with amazing performances and some great score with of course the inventiveness and brilliance of PTA's shot designs, this movie takes film-making to an altogether different level.

Yesterday I watched 'Seal Team Six: The Raid on Osama Bin Laden' / Code Name: Geronimo'.  (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt2095605/) What I expected was a movie that was going to be really in detail about the actual raid on Osama Bin Laden / the killing of Osama. But that was not really the case. Although it had a clear story line, it was not what I expected. I think it was quite weak, and do not recommend this movie if you want to watch a movie with a great, strong or hard story line. If you want to watch a quite light movie, then it's fine I guess.

Although I'm not going to add it to my favorites list.

The Green Mile ranks relatively high in my list also liked The Shining movie adaptation from the original novel.

Here's my summary on the film:

Paul Edgecomb is a slightly cynical veteran prison guard on Death row in the 1930's. His faith, and sanity, deteriorated by watching men live and die, Edgecomb is about to have a complete turn around in attitude. Enter John Coffey, He's eight feet tall. Agreed, They made a new meaning to the super hero concept (if you consider batman a "super" "hero"). My favorite was the first movie, the third one was interesting too.

For me The Matrix trilogy was and will be always the movie of all the times. Most of people think that Matrix is just a sci-fi/action movie, but if you look deep you will see the background of the movie and his hidden messages.

If you look at the imbd top 250 movies of all the time, you will see that Matrix is in the top 20. I know that this list is not 100% relevant, because is created by a users and not by film critics. But, I prefer to respect the user's rating more the film critics and according to them The Matrix is in that list! :)

If there is someone who never watch that movie, I highly recommend you to do that! It will blow your mind! :)

That day  he took me with him at his work and after the day ended we passed in front of a cinema doing re-runs. He told me that if I read him the title we would see it. A very fond memory for me.

I watched that, but it was kind of dry. The main focus on the plot was based on one simple gimmick, but it felt like the plot took a huge nosedive just to base itself upon that concept.
