From technological point of view we don't need anything better that bitcoin really. Because there will be always something we could do better 'technologically'. Even the most advances source code could be obsolete in a couple of years. So we shouldn't be focused on perfecting coins but instead we could focus on promoting it.

How can there be any cryptocurrency which is better than the Bitcoin?

Bitcoin is the original crypto, while the other shitcoins are shameless copycats. A few of the altcoins, such as Litecoins and Namecoins can be trusted, but they by no means are superior to BTC.

I really hope a mod bans you. I've seen you post about 50 times in the span of 1 hour on every single thread in this section, just to promote your shit signature.

FYI, Bitcoin is not the original crypto. Bitgold came long before Bitcoin, get your shit straight. Every currency, including Bitcoin, is based other previous things.

If you have any problem with my post, then report it to the moderators, and they will decide on whether I am spamming or not. I have been here for more than 3 years, and I don't need certificate from people like you.

Bitcoin is the original one, doesn't mean it is the best.
We all know that bitcoin is not perfectly, there are some coins really improve bitcoin.
But as the best, I think there is no best, just better.

Yea, just stop posting/spamming on every damn thread. No one needs to read your posts containing wrong information, especially those newer to cryptocurrencies.

Bitcoin is the original one, doesn't mean it is the best.

Forgive me if I don't understand the computer science behind this, but isn't it better to have more than one of something?

For example Burger King and McDonalds.

Having more than one, means they compete and try to find ways to out perform each other.

Why not duplicate the block chain (I believe you call it a fork) into two copies that would then diverge from each other?  In the hope that they would compete and drive forward innovation.

Bitcoin is having some minor flaws, such as the 51% attack issue. But ever since its creation, none of its flaws have created any major problems for the users. And it is likely to remain as such in the near future as well.

I agree that some of the altcoins have been created to remove these flaws. But there is no need as of now, for a "perfect crypto". Bitcoin will do the job, even with all its minor bugs and defects. If we adopt a technologically superior coin, then what will happen to all those Bitcoin-based businesses and ventures? They will be left with Billions of USD in loses. Let's just stick with Bitcoin.

In my Opinion I have few Coins in the List.

1.AMPs coin

for more info go here synereo.com
Next-gen social platform. Your attention is scarce, precious and powerful. It's time for it to work for you. Fully decentralized. There's no single point of failure.

2.Storjcoin X

for more info go here storj.io
Storjcoin X is a Cryptocurrency. It is a distributed file sharing system, sort of like Dropbox, but where you will be paid with SJCX for sharing your harddrive.

3.MAIDSAFE

for more info go here http://maidsafe.net
The MaidSafe Platform provides complete control of data, end to end encrypted data transfer and the ability to self join the network.,

There are more than 740 crypto currencies in total but only 10 of them have market capitalizations over $10 million. That must say something about their appeal to the general public.

1. DarkCoin has a built in mixing system, which is fun.  ;D

2. Dogecoin & LiteCoin bark at the big dog and have some bite to it.  ;D

3. Monero (XMR) for it's privacy features. { CryptoNote protocol }

4. Titcoin - If you into porn.  ;)

AFAIK it's not exactly built-in (like in XMR), but yes - there is mixing service involved in sending coins.

Dash is good, NEM is good, NXT is good, you know what, the market is pretty good at recognizing what is good. The top coins on CMC are good.

Hard to say what he defines as a 'technological point of view'. Bitcoin to me does seem perfect or doesn't really need to be changed, but may be a new alt could come along that could improve on it. Maybe some of the dark coins may have certain aspects that are better for certain people but I'm fine with bitcoin at the moment.

There is one platform that has the following on mainnet as we speak:

A decentralized exchange for coloured coins ($10,000 per day long term average)
A decentralized "ebay" for physical and digital goods
Encrypted messages
An early stage project for decentralized internet (DNS)
A decentralized system that allows coins to be created inside the platform (POW option available) that has been used for trustless crowd funding. It can also be used for creating a store of value (tokens with a base value) and for secure retail vouchers.

A decentralized Voting system, advanced Multisig and Blockchain Pruning will be in the next release (currently on testnet)

Do you own research  ;D

Makes no sense. During the .com bubble, there were companies being funded for hundreds of millions to billions of dollars, all now lost and down the drain. One cryptocurrency having a headstart doesn't mean it'll be at the top forever.

Also, the only companies that would be hurt if Bitcoin is superseded by another crypto would be the companies and websites branded only around bitcoin such as those with names like "bitcoinblahblah.com", and they are very few and insignificant. Websites like blockchain.info, circle, etc, are not branded around bitcoin, they accept bitcoin, so bitcoin losing 1st place wouldnt cost people much money at all.

No such best cryptocurrency is existing. There are many better, feather rich coins coming out! But they are just specially improving some features for some purpose, like Darkcoin, Monero, NEM, MAIDSAFE etc, comparing with bitcoin! They can't be perfect for including all of the features technically! Guys, just be realistic and choose the useful one.
