You can buy the rockstar social club code, you can still play with your friend on steam but game is in your rockstar social club account not steam account

GTA V rockstar social club keys like GTA V steam game.
The different here is when you buy it on steam, game in your steam inventory. And you buy GTA V rockstar social club keys > it in your rockstar social club account.
And 2 platform play in 1 server. Steam automatically turn to rockstar server

Brazilian steam sells GTA V for an equivalent of 32.67 USD.

And that's currently the best price you can get if you want to buy the game legitimately. Luckily there's no region lock.

You can't change your account's region but you can visit the store of another region. Add ?cc=[country code] at the end of URLs to do so. It's br for Brazil.

No, not yet actually. But it's not region locked and I'm sure about that.

I also searched it on Reddit and several people have successfully bought the game from the Brazilian store.

Nope, it's not region locked. You can check that in a really simple way actually and I'm surprised you don't know already. :P

1. Go to your local steam store by entering store.steampowered.com in a browser
2. find a game you like
3. hover over the "Add to Cart" button
4. note the number that appears in "()"

Now to check if the game is region locked,

5. Add ?cc=[country code] afte the game's link
6. hover over the "add to cart" button again
If the number is the same that means there's no region lock. If the number is not the same, that means that the game is region locked.

You can try to buy 1 and when it's appear in steam gift and region not lock send me message

Well, as of gifting... If you were to buy it as a gift from Brazil you'd only be able sent it to the following countries according to steam.


Most gifts are now region locked and I don't think there's a real way to bypass this. But since OP wants it for personal use, it's still good to activate on a personal account.

Will currently wait until there is mod support from the community (only reason for me to buy the game, as I already have it for PS3) and will get it from the Brazilian store :)

I bought it for myself so no gift. If I had bought a gift it would have been region locked to brazil and few other south American countries.

Gifts are region locked. Didn't you read the warning? I didn't buy it as a gift, I bought it from my account for my account.

Lol, it was clear that if you bought as gift you would not be able to redeem it... That way they avoid people reselling the game. So alani123; all working perfecly for you right?

If Valve will check your account, expect revoking the gift soon from Steam (usually within next 30 days).

Besides, I didn't buy it as a gift. I just used the Brazilian store and my visa to buy it for myself. :P Gifts are indeed region locked.
