I used to fund my next grand moneymaking venture that will change humanity for the better.

Sadly I'll probably never be one but I'm sure I'm making some every month!  :'(

I will hire someone to train several cats to be like dogs so that I can have the benefit of petting a soft cat without it acting like a huge arrogant jerk. I don't know if it is physically possible to train a cat to be like a dog, so I might just have to take a nice dog and give it a coat made of cat fur. They would be cats that died of natural causes, not cat murder, which is why this would cost a lot of bitcoins to arrange.

Also I would buy an Nvidia video card just because I'm pretty sure that AMD arranged this whole bitcoin conspiracy as a means to sell a lot of video cards without having to actually improve things like gameplay.

Also I would invest in a sandwich and keep it around until sandwich demand increased enough to net me a tidy profit. I might even earn enough money in this venture to buy myself a sandwich, but that's just a pipe dream at this point. Sigh.

I'd buy a Motorcycle, purchase a bunch of land, build a house which is designed to need very little electricity, pay for flying lessons and buy a nice plane to go along with my personal landing field.

I don't have any bitcoins yet. However, if I was an early adopter, and my paper worth exceeded a Billion Dollars, I would start investing in infrastructure to preserve the integrity of Bitcoin, while at the same time getting ready to start the next cryptocurrency.

The bitcoin protocol makes an assumption: That the value of a Bitcoin is inherently limited by the cost of electricity used to generate it. What if you found a very large, largely untapped source of electricity? What if you installed a supercomputing cluster near your shiny new Gigawatt solar plant?

The only problem with this plan is that people, coporations, or government with a lot to loose may do eveything they can to shut you down. How do you find a component supplier you trust enough to build a datacenter designed to handle cryptocurrency? Even if you prove the hardware and software won't betray you, and guard the data center with a small army; you are still vulnerable to attack. A megawatt solar plant would not last long against a bombing campaign from one of the nuclear powers.

On second thought, you might want to consider something like Shipping container computers (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sun_Modular_Datacenter) scattered around the globe.

Millionaire bitcoiners, at least ones that mined their owned coins, will be limited to the few very early adopters and the masters of VHDL FPGA/ASIC design....

I disagree, and it has been discussed and rehashed many times.

The assumption that you are posing is backwards.  It's not the cost of electricity that determines the value of Bitcoin, it's the value of Bitcoin vs. the cost of electricity that determines whether people will find it economically beneficial to run the verification program (i.e. Mining).

As people find new sources of energy, and lower cost computational capabilities, it becomes more economically beneficial to perform mining.  So more people will mine until it's not really all that beneficial due to competition.  And more miners (i.e. verifiers) means that the system is stronger, not weaker.

I'll invest heavily in an invention my talking dog came up with to make water flow up. He either said that or asked for more kibble. Hard to tell.
