Title: Bitcoin ATM in India
Post by: bSpend on April 11, 2015, 10:14:09 AM
Hi,

We are looking for a partner that is interested in Bitcoin in India. I am working with http://easybitllc.com/ we are the largest operator of https://www.bitaccess.co/ 2-way BTMs (cash <-> bitcoin). A photo of the TV news filming of a Bitaccess BTM model that we own and operate in Zagreb, Croatia, EU - http://coinatmradar.com/images/bitaccess/bitaccess_bitcoin_atm_dcac4f8.jpg For a high volume location we would probably go with a stronger Genesis 2-way model.
If you are interested in installing and operating a Bitcoin ATM, we could cover the full cost of the machine, shipping and customs, while you would need to find a location and operate it (location needs to have stable electricity and internet connection and ideally be central). We would then share the profit. It is also possible that you participate in the investment for a larger profit % later on. Additionally, we could easily get media exposure and more customers for you.

And how will you cover the expenses and how will we earn profit with this ATM?
Also Bitcoin is legally not recognized in India so might cause a lot of resistance in this work.

the fact that it is not defined is good not bad, because u don't need to declare it..it is like this with most countries, so nothing special there. it would be more of a problem if the government was outright hostile, but even more hostile govs such as China have BTMs. Fee % is shared between investor and operator. Do u have a location?

I am still looking for an answer to my question- How will investors and operators gain profit?

It would be good to open ATM in Delhi.. Just a suggestion

If u really plan to establish Bitcoin ATM in India, look at border cities, port areas and cities with international airport where international users visit. Bitcoin ATMs may work as a replacement to money exchangers. I highly doubt people within India will use Bitcoin ATM as there are already enough way to encash Bitcoin online.

I think it would work best inside the Casino. That would secure it from administrative problems as it would be on a private property.

I am fairly well involved with the poker community within India, and turns out they might just be interested in Bitcoin in the near future as Pokerstars will soon be allowing deposits with bitcoin. Currently, its hard for most of them to deposit as the Indian Credit cards don't work directly. So the suggestion of opening one in Casinos is definitely one you should look forward to. However, it will be really hard to get one in, as they won't simply allow you to just place one without considerable rent, and it might be bad for business for them.

It will also be a legal liability for them, since they already are not much supported by the government due to vote banks and all.
