Hi,

Can anyone recommend me best bitcoin wallet in India. I am starting BTC mining with cloudminr.io what you guys say about that too.
I am fairly new to BTC. I would really appreciate anyone helping me.

May be try multibit wallet. But multibit wallet is a light weight wallet.
Or
try bitcoin core. But you should have to wait until it synchronize up to date (it might takes 20 GBs of data)

By the way, from my personal experience, www.cloudmining.website is more profitable than www.cloudminr.io.

If you want to use a very simple wallet for your daily needs try Zebpay, available on Android and iPhone

For substantial amounts I will recommend Multibit or Armory.

I am using blockchain and mycelium wallet on my android but I will suggest do paper backups that thing I really want to try

I am using blockchain.info from long time without any problem.

No matter what wallet you use, do not leave more than a couple of bitcoins touching the internet.

If not, after you lose your coins, the only thing you will think about bitcoin is about how many times you wanted to take paper backups but did not do it.

Yup I would too vouch for blockchain.info its the best BTC wallet and I liked their security feature too.

I am not from india but I don't think there are some specific wallets best for specific countries!
What matters is how many bitcoins you want to hold! If its less than a BTC or two then  use Blockchain Wallet. If you wanna store large amount of BTC then use bitcoin core wallet!

the idea of bitcoin is that you have no other (third parties) who keep your money safe for you.
a online wallet is maybe good as a temporary solution. but i would never trust in long term!

Do it oldschool and download bitcoin core, the orginal bitcoin client. if you like bitcoin then you have the required space on your harddisk ...

Well, its doubted to be a ponzi site, but not surely one. However, in cases of doubt its always best to move to something which is trustworthy. Check out Zeushash or the one by Bitmain for cloudmining.

As for the wallet, if you are new, just start with multibit. I have been using that for smaller accounts since I started with bitcoin.

blockchain.info is a great place to create BTC wallet. They also incorporate two-factor authentication for securing your data and give you the option to download or import your wallet's backup to dropbox, google drive, or send it to you via email.


the required disk space for original bitcoin client is increasing day by day. Hence downloading bitcoin core may not be the optimum solution for everyone (reasons could be insufficient bandwidth or low internet speed). If you can do it then kudos, if not try online wallet that has a good reputation and try your luck.   ;)

I have a strong limited bandwidth and know this problem. Downloading the block chain need's a lot of time. Also i use online wallets, but like i said before, only as a temporary solution (for small amounts)!
Coins which i store long term i sent to my bitcoin core client. For receiving coins you didn't need to download the blockchain!
A for receiving address you can generate offline (also with bitcoin core) and without internet connection. Only if you want send your coins to a other address later, then you need to be online with the synchronized blockchain.

By the way, the recent blockchain is available via torrent. I believe this provides a faster way of download as with the client.

just checked out the sourceforge link. it seems a faster way but don't you think it's useful for only new wallets as the post says that it
"Resets the bitcoin block database and block database index
  to the state it was in at the time the snapshot was taken.

i.e. if someone uses it while having unprocessed transactions, he/she may lose that info???

And if i remember right, i saw there also downloads which provides newer sources.
At least it should show, there are other ways for a setup...

Also he won't miss a transaction, because he never processed a transaction at the time where the blockchain snapshot was taken.

Yeah, not everyone get paid for things he deserves...
No problem, the link should everybody know who use bitcoin.
And i use bitcoin core as main wallet and a paper wallet for long term storage.
Also i use a bunch of online wallets which are provided by different altcoin exchanges, plus one at https://blockchain.info .
But all online wallets i use to hold small amounts temporary only, which i reserved for trading with altcoins.

Paper wallets if generated in a secure manner would provide you a very high level of security to your bitcoins. It is about generating and preserving the private key and public key off the internet. You have an option to generate paper wallet (using javascript and gets generated on the browser) on Unocoin. On the same page you also have an option where you can redeem your private key and load those bitcoins to your Unocoin wallet.

You can also use bitaddress.org or https://paperwallet.coinsecure.info/ to generate the paper wallets

But if you have wallet in your local country, it will be better.
Because usually local wallet has no fees.  :)

Their is no particular about bitcoin wallet for each country , all country users can get and use it. But if you want light weight and secure wallet then you can go with electrum desktop wallet which is very secure and simple to use it. You when installed you will get seed key and then your wallet is ready . this pass phrase or seed key are the main to reinstall the wallet.

Can you try blockchain.info , but if you use international wallets is good and safety

i am using coinsecure from long time. i  started it without any Verification on India's Best Bitcoin Wallet.

blockchain wallet is best wallet but in India i  trust unocoin wallet easy to purchase bitcoin and sell i think this is good wallet in India unocoin is available in web or app.

At the moment opening account in koinex.in is very easy and they complete the KYC in a day. Also, their charges is 0.25 % for buying and selling..
You can transfer money from your bank to koinex with zero charges (NEFT or RTGS) and withdrawal fee is Zero

blockchain is one great app else you can go for unocoin, coinsecure, zebpay... They all are great wallets here in India

There is no specific wallet available for our country. Although there is one trading cum wallet service called "Zebpay", I don't trust it either since they don't allow their clients to control their own private keys.

Many peoples are using blockchain wallet but i will recommend for indian user always use zebpay/unocoin or tcc wallet .becoz these app also have own btc exchange from where u can buy or sell btc into INR and these all verry easy to use...

Will need to check this wallet as hardly heard about this. How much is the transfer fees in/out ? And how much confirmations it require for incoming transactions?

I think all the other Indian exchanges also have increased their transaction fees due to which it is pinching everyone now.
 

Zebpay support sucks.They do not let me sell my btc and despite several requests to their support, nothing has changed.Does unocoin have mobile app?

IMHO there is no such thing as the best bitcoin wallet in India.   The best bitcoin wallet in India would be a Trezor sitting in your pocket. 

Great choice for bitcoin mining app in India. TRy multibit, lightweight wallet with it first.

Nothing can be more better than Zebpay. It causes localised transactions perhaps.

As someone mentioned in one of the previous replies, wallets are not country specific. The best wallets are hardware wallets, as they are the safest. The most popular hardware wallets are Ledger and Trezor. Hardware wallets are expensive but they are worth the money as they keep your hard earned money safe. But in case you have to store only a small amount of coins, then you might opt to go for the free options (mobile wallet, desktop wallet) that are available. Do read about various kinds of wallets and see for yourself which suits your purpose the most. I think zebpay is best crypto wallet  in india. I am using it from last 6 month. I haven't faced any problem during transactions.

1. Your a newbie and yet interested in mining then you should post your questions in the mining section of the forum.

Zebpay and unocoin, Those are great way to buy bitcoin, but don't use them as a wallet as those companies fully control your keys. They're effectively a bank. Use a wallet where you control the private keys on your own device.

Unocoin is best wallet in India. No country needs specific wallet for bitcoin. It depends on your system which wallet you will put on your system and which security you can keep.
