Is there any real use for these coins other than gambling or scamming? Why should I exchange my cash for coins that are so volatile? It just does not make sense to me. What is the advantage to Bitcoin and the others? I just see huge disadvantages, and trust is the main one. Just looking at the lending section on this board and the marketplace it seems like traditional payment methods are so much easier and more secure. Unless you're buying drugs or kiddy porn or whatever illegal items and anonymity is a concern but even then there are problems. I am definitely not trying to slam cryptocurrencies but they just don't seem all that viable as real currencies.
