Actually it looks like a simple pump and dump instead of long term investors. Talking about an explosion when the daily volume is something around 0.25 BTC is a bit of an exaggeration. Isn't it? Look at the volumes when price was climbing, may more then on the way down. That means people are holding, a.k.a investors!
