question as topic: Is technocashier.com scam or legit?

You know, it isn't like there aren't enough scams around here, but can't this question be asked in a less accusatory way?  [Edit: Apparently not in this instance, as there are numerous reports of it being a scam.]

When you walk by a bank... do they have signs in the window "No scams here!"  ?

No, of course not.

So why pollute our forum this way?  

Now if you actually have a reason to call scam, ... then there's an appropriate place for that.

I'm here, to warn you about technocashier.com, sent 1400$ in exchange for 1000€ PSC. I received more invalid codes than valid. Over all, I just received about 90€. I wanted to cancel the rest of the exchange, because it really didn't work. This was the moment, where the support stopped talking to me. So they took about 900€ for me.
 The whole thing started at the end of june. Support stops answering via jabber or mail.
If you don't want to lose your money ... DON'T exchange it at technocashier.com, or your money is gone!

Exchange started end of june, i wanted to post this much earlier (here and on other boards), but couldn't due a lack of time. After I announced at the technocashier support to make this case public, they told me to open a ticket ... guess what? No Answer!

Whether legit or not, seems that their reserves are unnecessarily large in most cases. Seems like a good place for Romney to start changing his cash for bitcoin!

warning you as well to stay away from technocashier. I tried to exchange $100 from LR to Paxum with them, and, well, after 6 weeks, several complaints to the VFS Network(who are kind of a certifier for exchangers/e-money), and harrassing them on a daily basis with new ICQ accounts they finally paid.

technocashier might not directly be a scam, but they surely are shady, not doing proper business, and I for myself will not exchange my money through them again.


You need to create new jabber/mail accounts, as they usually /ignore you really quick. Also, complain about them with VFS. (http://vfs-network.com/members.html)

Bitcoin is starting to pressure these digital currency exchanges.  

Where they used to get 6%, or 8% to convert funds, they instead are now facing competitors like AurumXChange, which takes a minimal fee (1% for LR --> Mt. Gox,  2.5% for Mt. Gox --> LR).    So some of them turn to running scams (or increase the level of scamming they perform).

If they only scam the larger transactions, they can keep their long confidence game going (by processing successfully the smaller transactions, which gives the customers confidence to continue using the service except with larger transactions.  That works until one day, bam! Scammed.)

So yeah, they are a scam.

Looks like they're scamming people for small sums of money too now. Avoid at all costs I say.

I would keep away from them as they have a lot of unsolved complaints on internet.

If you are looking for an exchangers then there are dozens on internet, look in TalkGold forum for example.

I exchange LR to okpay , and paid it , I haven't received anything in 3 days

And they delete the comments that someone's post who didn't received at "http://technocashier.com/comments/#form"

Yeah, they don't reply to support tickets but they will delete a negative comment from thier little forum thing right away.
I know because I'm still waiting for my transfer to be completed on their end and they won't reply at all.

hi, i have send USD 100 LR to TECHNOCASHIER, but still no responce, and they delete my posts on their website, someone has not received money for long time, someone received, so i will update here for 7 days, if still no received, i will tell all the guys on bitcointalk.

here is my experience with btc-e (it'as a copy paste from another topic that i wrote):

Hi, my first 10000$ to btc-e transaction at 3% rate went smoothly with technocashier!!
But the nightmare starts on the second transaction of 10000$ to btc-e at 3% rate he asks me for 6 hours to do the transfer(it was the 6th of april at 6:30PM). And actually it was fine by me.
So 24hours later i did not have the funds, so i go back to him and he tells me it's sunday so it's taking long, I'll have to check monday morning. I told myself, no problem i make this poor guy work on the week-end, i can wait for monday morning. Monday at 2PM no funds, he asks me to wait for 2-3 extra hours. I come 2-3 hours later, still no funds, asks me to come later the evening. When i start to get a bit rough(but still polite) on him because he doesn't respect his delay, he starts mocking me!! And said i quote " DO you have any other choice sir? No you don't! So just wait".
Later that evening he just ignored all of my messages!! Well and it was pretty much like this all days he kept pushing over and over! Until today (friday12th) 6 days laters... (Actually it's been totally solved the saturday 13th at 01H48 AM GMT +1)
He tells me he just can't deliver me btc-e USD because MTGOX don't issue USD code anymore since the 10th of april, so he can't either refund me nor give me my btc-e USD!! He can give me Liberty reserve at 10000$ or BTC but with a 5% rate. Here is our discussion:

Later on that night i manage to talk to him a bit more, and accepted to received my fund in bitcoin for 5% of fees instead of 3% at btc-e rates for bitcoins. So I received 9500 worth of btc instead of 9700 worth of btc-e USD

It was a week full of stress and they DID NOT respect their end of the deal. If you ask me i wouldn't recommend them at all or not for any transaction that is more than 500-1000$

I got my 91USD OKPAY, but no recommandation to this site, until they responce with speed.

Can anyone give any light on this company if good to use or not as I am interested in the services they have on offer however am skeptical as seeing a mixed report of good and bad?

Hi, im new here and i used the service yesterday. But till now nothing. The agent wrote, it will takes 24h, so i will wait next 24h, im optimistic, becouse i got now the cancel email from a order done one day before the real order.
In any case i will update this post, when i get any info.

Whoa. Glad I read this before I dealt with them. I was really turned off by the fees but they were a last resort. Reading this and other threads like it helped me avoid this mistake.

Yeah, I'm glad aswell, that I took a look at the forum before I bought anything.

I thought this was legit but people here are saying scam, so dunno.

those money supposed to pay for my vps so now it will get interrupted thanks to them!
I will lose some more money but thats ok because they will lose a LOT MORE!

some of their revolutionary rules  :o

1. We are always right!!!!!!!!
2. All orders can case delays for some reason, maximum delay is 7 days
3. You just need to wait a bit )))
4. You agree do not contact support within 3 days after you paid. If you contacted support in this period - You agree that support can ignore your request till 3 days expire
5. You can be ignored for not polite behaviour and rude language

SCAM!  They flat out stole $3000 USD from me.  I got nothing.  ZERO

I had a relationship with the asshole.  We were doing transactions everyday.  The $3000 was going to be the largest.

AS IT TURNS OUT, they are partners with Wallet ONE.  Wallet ONE tried to steal $2400 from me and I reported them to Moneygram who was involved in the transaction.  Their security took charge of the whole thing and refunded my money.  They actually diverted the funds from other transactions with technocashier.  Moneygram cancelled their receive code immediately after my discussions.  They are all a bunch of crooks.   They told me "this is not america and we can do anything we want"
