Title: A bitcoin computer in an altoids tin.... Post by: Anonymous on May 28, 2011, 03:57:09 AM I was thinking it would be a fun project to create a mini computer with its own wifi antenna and router and possibly linuxcoin os

(I am not clear on the iconic-ness of altoids as a symbol of bitcoins...)

Post by: rebuilder on May 28, 2011, 07:33:40 AM If plastic is OK, I could print up a coin-shaped container for the computer, with the BTC symbol on top, as long as the diameter doesn't need to be larger than 100 mm.
edit: now that I think about it, a tin should be doable as well by printing the shape wanted in ABS and hammering some suitably thin sheet metal into shape over it... Though I haven't done anything like that since grade school. Would probably end up looking quite... hand-made if I did it. Title: Re: A bitcoin computer in an altoids tin.... Only the graphic designer(s) / sculptors who actually design it know for sure, but the rest of us will recognise it when we see it. -MarkM- |
