Title: BTC mining rate
Post by: miztaziggy on August 24, 2012, 05:56:44 PM
Can anyone tell me why the mining calculators tell me that I should be mining about 0.32 BTC per day at approx 700 MHash, yet with Deepbit, I am only mining approx 0.24 BTC per day?

That is 75% of what it should be at current difficulty, so it is too much of a difference for it to be fees.

Not sure if it makes a difference, but im mining on Deepbit with 2 cards running at the same time within the same GUI miner client.

How long have you been tracking this?  The variance can be very high.

Unless you're superstitious you can't really change your luck (or the pool's luck for that matter).  Just pick the pool you're happy with and sit on it unless it's having technical problems.

Having said that you can always tell which pool I've recently mined on - they ALWAYS have a good run right after I leave and I swap pools all the time (mined at over 40 pools in 2 years)  >:(

LOL you and MUST be related! I have the same problem, but I am now at the GUILD, and it seems pretty good, making a decent rate, and access to private servers to stop DDOS attacks.

And the difficulty just went up by 11%, so be prepared to make even less! :D

Depends, I'm currently paying miners on my hopping proxy more than any of the regular pools paid PPS on the old difficulty  ;)
