Title: Moved Thread Redirection Topics. Post by: Coincomm on August 25, 2012, 10:19:35 PM They're pretty annoying in general discussion. Could it be possible to do without them or have them deleted after a little bit of time?

I -could- choose not to post the redirection topics (it's semi automated). However, the people interested in the original thread would be confused over the new location of the thread now. A rule of thumb I follow for redirects is if the redirect has been up longer than the thread was, it's probably safe to delete. Not much point in leaving a redirect for 12+ hours when the thread was only there for an hour or two.

Otherwise, almost everyone just clicks Show new replies to your posts anyway, so I'm not worried about them wondering where it went.
