I have a friend who works at Starbucks, who said that any transfers with these cards can be traced, so even if one of the card goes bad, all the cards it transferred the balance to will likely go bad. The supply is mainly these fly-by-night newbies that just set up new accounts rather than make good on cards that have had balances revoked. Which pretty much means -- buyers need to forget about "guarantees" and force prices low enough to justify the risk.
