You see, it's never an even playing field with trolls because they hide behind anonymous sock puppets. Whenever you get the upper hand, I feel you should use it while you can. I think I've done that and since it's starting to annoy legitimate users, I'll gladly calm down. However, at this juncture you have literally no more credibility in your opinion than the very "trolls" you so despise. Stop trying to claim some heroic status, and wait for the results of the bet. And me. He might be going a little overboard, but he's planted his flag, and standing by it. And he's putting his money where his mouth is. And asking others to do the same. Thread count and post count don't mean nearly as much as the content. If he has money, he wins; if he doesn't, he's not likely to pay. Might as well preemptively consider them scamming since it's a no-win proposition.
