The upper and middle management of BFL needs much-needed jail time.

Sorry to break it to you guys but they don't give a rats ass about small time scammers.  My guess is that they are looking for whales who are holding large sums of coins.  That is just my guess, but they care more about getting their slice of the pie than catching petty crooks.

This is what we get for having the patriot act.  This is big brother but no one seems to care that we no longer have our constitutional rights any more.  Obama promised an end to this crap but all we got was more of the same.  Sites like bitcointalk have very little if no power to protect themselves and their users from the government taking any information they want.  It makes me sad.

You won't know why they are interested in you until long after they are interested.  There is no visibility on the surveillance or enforcement efforts for obvious reasons.

What Liberty said!
They have no idea who is holding what. They are going to systematically go through EVERYTHING and look for prosecutable crimes. Then they are going to find out who is who and where they live, work, favorite color. when the subpenas come out they will know the answers to most of the questions at the interrogation.
If you are not a crook then it will just be an invasion of privacy. If you are a crook your life may be ruined by this. Jail time, fines, never getting a real job again; it will suck to be you.

yup, looks like most of what the feds are looking for is anything affiliated with big time scammers, BFL in particular.

The upper and middle management of BFL needs much-needed jail time.

Much deserved jail time, and took way too long for this to happen as well.

at least take a minute of time to read it before asking....

BFL, or butterfly labs, is a company with a huge scandal associated with it; they advertised ASIC miners then kept pushing back the promised shipping dates, and most customers did not receive any products in the end. huge case of fraud for tens of millions of USD.
