Title: Hello from a lurker
Post by: jmasterson on April 24, 2015, 07:31:23 AM
Long time lurker here. Finally want to start posting. I'm a developer and want to create games. Now I'm interested in anything related cryptocurrency. :)

What's the best way for a developer to contribute to the bitcoin community? I'm not that experienced but willing to learn.

i love video games, you could start to create some competitive indie games, that integrate price in bitcoin

like a "dig game" for example, or some puzzles games, but i actually prefer some more complex games, if you are good enough to make these

I love games and I ever tried some of bitcoin games, but I didn't really like it because it's just common..

I already had enough with puzzle game, especially with "dig game" but I agree on complex games, like mmorpg? or rpg?

Welcome to the community!
The best way to bring your skills into Bitcoin is by participating on some projects. Just go to the Project Development or Services (offer your skills there for some donations) section to find one.

I wonder why did u suddenly found interest while the price is at bottom ? ::)

Well, the best way to contribute to Bitcoin Community for a developer is to contribute here => https://github.com/bitcoin/bitcoin. But, if you want to make money coins for yourself, that is a different question. ;)

Will you be able to create a game of the same functionality of www.CrazyPonzi.com ?

Please note that, though the domain contains the word 'Ponzi' it is NOT a typical Ponzi and the development logic might not be easy. No free script available in the market can do this either.

No one can create an MMO alone. This is for a team of professionals.

The most one can do alone is mobile games like Angry Birds, but program and create all the art of a game is challenging

Interesting tidbit:  The developers of Angry Birds (Rovio) developed 51 titles before they released the hit.  They were on the verge of bankruptcy.

You can make a post in Services section.
Also can you make a dice site or a poker site for me? Or a casino site with other casino games? If yes, you can work for me. :)

Looking forward for your reply.

I want only to say you welcome in this forum and good luck to all your project (bitcoin related). The best

The best thing is to open a repository at github so anyone can improve and contribuite (and after open a thread here in the forum).

I would say you could probably create phone games that earn you quick easy bitcoins?

Or even better, that earn you alt coins such as doge. I haven't seen that one yet so it'd be cool if you made the first :)
