https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=101958.msg1135106#msg1135106 I just saw it on my lunch break and figured 'what the hell' and decided to give the numbers a call and ask if anyone knew this "Trendon Shavers" name. It sounded like a BS name but from what I can tell it's actually a real name. The person I spoke to said Trendon used to work there a few months ago as an "IT guy". He gave praise and complements of the guy and said he was "very smart" and in general seemed to be well liked. I asked if he knew anything about this fiasco and he said he did not. I directed him to "google pirate40" to see what it's about. One thing I want to make extremely clear is I told anyone I called that I'm just asking questions and I'm "just a guy from the Internet" and made sure to let people know that this is NOT a character judgement - it's just business and I'm just curious what has/is happening. I also made it clear I have no investments with him - it's purely my self interest / the detective in me. EDIT: Forgot to mention, the person I spoke with said he hasn't been there for almost 2 months since he last came in to help them. Thought, it is probably not a good idea to let anyone else know what is going on with the bitcoin loans. Better to just tell the person that Mr. Shavers listed this company as a reference or previous work employment. A detective would not give away what they are trying to detect. All marriages in the state of Texas is also listed publically. Pirate also listed that he had a hot check warrent from Midland, Texas. The same person and his family went from Midland to McKinney Texas and own property in Collins County, Texas. Him and his wife got a mortgage through that company back in 2007. Other than that, I've seen no validated connection between that company and him. He co-owns a company with someone who was lead programmer at The Lending Partners years ago but I can't find any direct connections between Trendon and TLP. I came to the same conclusion. It is possible he may have worked there around the same time. My hunch is that he may have been in some sort of technical position and had access to the merchantile login while in that capacity. When I was thinking of investing in one of the PPTs I did some background research on the person people claimed pirate to be. Searching for Trendon Shavers I came across the address: 2304 S. Custer Road Apt 1507 just as it listed here (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=101958.msg1138283#msg1138283) but I also came across: 2812 Glen Hollow Drive (http://www.trade-pals.com/business-professionals/Business-Services-Business-Development-7128.html), McKinney, TX 75070. **EDIT: Nevermind owned by a LAURA LEE REYES (http://www.collincad.org/ccdetail.php?theKey=2017341). You can scroll down that page and see that the house was sold in 2010 to Reyes from the Shavers. His brother is in IT and has connections to the same person (and may have worked there too). I'm not sure what value there'd be to contacting pirate's previous employers. With the exception of his younger brother, his family seems fairly stable and unlikely to up and disappear even if Trendon does.
