He is, I'm just very surprised he hasn't said that it's awesome yet.

I wonder what is holding him back from fully endorsing it? any thoughts?

edit: maybe its because he's already in hot water he doesn't need to add more to the fire?

No idea. Best I can figure, he is stockpiling them. Maybe he's still reading up on them (took me forever!). But that might be wishful thinking. I just can't imagine why he wouldn't like bitcoins... I mean, come on. Of all people!

He would be the perfect poster child for bitcoins ( literally!) . Seems every project he is working on  will need someway for him/staff to get paid. I wonder if he has objections to it ...should be interesting.

I really want to hear his opinion on it. He may picture it as a "greater fool" pyramid, and understandably since his twitter was  bombarded by bitcoin "evangelists." It would certainly turn me off. That kind of stuff gets old to me.

Bitcoins aren't shiny, they don't conduct electricity, you can't hold them in your hand, computers are confusing

He likes wrecking Ferraris and slurping caviar off the bottoms of bikini-clad girls. There's not a lot of BTC based offers for this.

Random names popping into my head:

Bill Maher

Bleh. Maher can be funny but his actual opinions, typically, are awful.

Maybe so, I really don't know much about his opinions. But I do know that he is very opinionated and vocal about a lot of controversial issues.

Anywho, Bitcoin needs to press on .  I would like to know who else we can reach out to that we haven't yet that could give more influence to bitcoin. I know we have Max Kieser's of the world.. but lets start a list....

EFF - https://www.eff.org/
FSF - http://www.fsf.org/

Would these guys support us? I've always admired them for standing firmly behind freedom.

I've been thinking about 4chan, more specifically /b/.
I know what you probably think, but don't be biased. It is a diverse, global, multi-million community with rather anarchic nature. Someone with good "evangelical" skills should make a Bitcoin thread on /b/ and /pol/ every few days.

Niall Ferguson is an establishment mouthpiece. Nigel Farage is far too busy being a media whore to spend any time understanding bitcoin.

The others are good. And I would add to that.

i think most of the people mentioned here are too entrenched to be of much use. bitcoin is really THAT threatening to one's reputation.

people are going to ignore bitcoin until they cannot afford to (whoa, that means we're in THAT stage of the ghandi pyramid). until then, they're (at best) going to try to figure out a way to take the idea and control it.

generational gaps, of a sort.

Hopefully at that point our coins will be worth much more.

No, they are not. They are of various social backgrounds and there is many of them. Even if you persuade a small fraction of them, it would be a good contribution to the bitcoin community.

Really? To be honest, /b/ brought me to Bitcoin so .. thank you.

Also rules 1 & 2 only apply to raids. /b/ is notorious for its antics, so there's no point in not talking about it.
