Title: Bitcoin Advertising Options
Post by: bytedisorder on August 30, 2012, 07:23:23 AM
After trying bitcoinadvertising.com, I am somewhat disappointed. At first they were good, and now I never seem to get my payout except by manually requesting them. I also tried AnonamousAds, which seems like a cool idea, however I didn't get the amount of clicks I was hoping for (I.E 4 in two weeks). Has anybody tried other bitcoin advertising/know of other bitcoin advertising/have any reviews of the ones mentioned?

@hostfat  :o  ::)  ;D

I had not seen that, that is truly funny. He told me it must be a problem with my address in his system and to create another ad using a different address. He did pay out my first ad after about 5 days. I created the second ad, now he owes me .09 bitcoins, not much however they claim "automatic payouts after .05 btc". So I emailed him and his words were "stop panicking its only .09 bitcoins, it will be paid out". The truth is its not much money its just the principle of the matter..

@dissapate

I had not seen operation fabulous, the site still needs some work and the wording isn't exactly conducive to SEO (i.e. Advertise With Bitcoins in a h1 tag). But I'll have to check it out. Have you tried it?

I have not, but I did see them advertised on a number of Bitcoin sites.

Do you think there would be a demand for a more advanced advertising system that has placement options and keyword specific placement?

in case you continue, consider adding revenue sharing (like CoinURL recently implemented) :)

could use more than one ad network that supports that.

Revenue sharing the the sense of advertiser statistics?

I could just implement total impression and ctr graphs

I could just implement total impression and ctr graphs

I mean like this: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=103178.msg1132497

So, I can specify a certain % of revenue from an ad view/click goes to an arbitrary Bitcoin Address specified in the ad code.

That sounds like a good idea further down the road. I just completed my backend and now I am working on the front end of my site and integrating the API. Plus I still have to code automated payout to publishers, as of now payouts are manual.

I should have a beta site up by the end of next week. As of now if advertisers want to test it out they can post here and I'll get them setup. Publishers can post to but I wont be adding publishers until the payout system is automated.

Sure, seems like a great service. I'd be happy to help you to kick start your ad platform. As a publisher for starters.

That would be awesome Vlad, I don't have the auto script for bitcoin payouts setup yet but we can do manual payout over the next week until I do.

I'm going to have to start a thread for the site sooner or later.

To deliver qualified advertisement(s) for a given request, the BitcoinAdSmart applies a proprietary Yield Optimization Algorithm to determine the appropriate rank and cost for each advertisement. Our algorithm considers factors such as relevancy, targeting match, keyword match type, qualified filter criteria, historical earnings, current bid amount, and more to determine what advertisement is qualified to be shown, where (rank), and what it should be billed.

The result: Increased revenue for publishers along with increased performance for advertisers.

Alright you are all set, your account is ready to go. Just send me your payout address via the support desk when you get a chance.

Are you really plan to offer natural keyword matching like Google AdSense (i.e. indexing content of each affiliate website and matching keywords specified by advertiser every time when visitor opens affiliate's page)? I thought some time ago to implement this on CoinURL, but understood that this feature requires enormous computing power, which only big corporations like Google and Facebook can afford.

If no, even more advanced ranking algorithm already realized in the CoinURL.

I'm building in horizontal scalability. However my script should be able to handle 100,000 impressions a day on one of my quad sandybridge servers with 8gb for now.

CoinURL is definitely the best of the online advertising options presently available in the bitcoin community. Competition only makes us better! What spurred me to do this was my horrid experience with bitcoinadvertising.com.

I am looking for advertisers, now have over 200,000 Impressions per month. Ads from only .001 Cost-Per-Click!

To place an ad on the network go to:

Use the promo code FREE1, and get a free .5BTC credit in your account.

Yes, you definitely can!

If you would match the promo with another .5BTC it would be appreciated however!

Littleshop, you have to deposit money to be credited for the promotion, that's how it works. However I did give you a .1BTC Courtesy Credit

Yeah I've been in touch with walletbit, I didn't recieve any of the deposits for today yet... which is... unfortunate. I think there is a problem with their bitcoind right now, I'm looking into it. I'll credit you the .5BTC little shop just write up some ads!

okay I've credited you the .5BTC promo. Apparently Walletbit is experiencing a server issue or something they said they'll have it fixed tomorrow. In the meantime just to confirm if you send something and dont get your account credited open a help desk ticket at https://bitcoinadsmart.com/support-desk.html (https://bitcoinadsmart.com/support-desk.html). We'll sort it out.

All payments are in my account now.

I do like the layout of the site and ease of building an ad/campaign.  I would like to see what sites I am being advertised on though, the actual sites not just site categories.  How do I do that?

Littleshop we only have three publishing sites ATM, bitcointribe.com, bitcoinmagazine.net and http://sotnd1996.weebly.com/.

The total monthly impression from these three are over 210,000 but as we build our network a way for advertisers to check placement is a valid feature request. I wont make any guarantees but its now on the TBD list.

I just created a publisher account. Any chance of allowing advertisers to put up image ads? I prefer to put images up on my site instead of word ads.

That functionality is in development, I will be posting updates as they are ready here:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=105306.0

The expected ETA on full banner ads is a few weeks. We are currently coding that functionality and going through some debates on the most relevant delivery method. We are glad to have you with us dailyanarchist. Publish the text/photo (or pain text) ads for now! You can always change the code later.

I'm really impressed with your service so far. Keep up the good work!

Question: There was a point where I was prompted to choose between Erotic, Gambling, and General. I wasn't sure if it was asking me what kind of content I want the ads to be, or what kind of content my website is.

I chose General, because my website is neither erotic or gambling. The only kind of content I don't want the ads to be is erotic. I don't mind gambling ads.

Also, I see now that the word ads are up, some of the individual ads have spaces between them, and some don't, and they look smooshed. Perhaps they should all have a space between them.

Another thing, I am terrible when it comes to color coding and what looks good with my website. I'd be happy to change the background color and text color, etc, of my word ads to better suit my website. If you have any color suggestions I'd be happy to hear them. I'm sure it would be mutually beneficial if the colors were optimized.

Thanks!

None was using a proxy server to click or view your ads.
You are just a liar or an incompetent, make your choice ;)

Hey daily anarchist, I would recommend taking the background color from your sidebar and using that as the ad background, setting the border to black and the rest looks good. You can make another ad code to carry the gambling network, it's the best way I could slice it for now.
