Title: Good pool for 33 MH/s spare time miner Post by: RMoD on August 30, 2012, 04:47:50 PM I use this laptop rather frequently so I only mine in my spare time or when I'm not doing graphically intensive things. I get about 30-33 MH/s on my GTX 460M and I'm wondering which pool would be best for me to use.
I've tried a bunch but haven't been totally pleased with any of them, and I'm wondering if there's ones I'm missing. And I know people are going to attempt to convince me to build something for mining. I'm already considering it, but I need the money first (no, these funds aren't going toward that). Any suggestions? You could run it for a whole month and buy a single beer with your BTC :D Seriously, the damage over time to your laptop will cost you far more than you make from mining. Any big PPS pool, EMC, BTC guild, etc. However, I suggest you dont bother, you will do less than 5 USD per month and you will risk breaking your laptop card by overheating, repair or replacement will cost you what you will get in an year.. Not really worth bothering at 33MH/s anyway. Sure, they can't quit the day job, and sure, its gonna fry something sooner or later... but shouldn't you still encourage people to want to be a part of this? or is this scene just a bunch trust fund shit heads who only care about money... who gives a crap about changing the world, right?
