It has 100% nothing to do with Bitcoin, for I started it around the time Satoshi's white paper was published, and I only learned about Bitcoin a couple days prior to joining this forum. Besides using it as a friendly see-you-later, each time I pen it I reflect back on one of my old fuck partners who's now a prosecuting attorney in Memphis, and she used to use that 'bud' term a lot.
