Ah, the venerable Block Erupter USB - many a miner's first foray into ASIC Bitcoin mining.

But what are they doing now?  Collecting dust?  Fetching $5 each in flash sales only to be found on ebay for $15 each - and selling, too?  Still hashing away, forgotten behind a computer tower at a job you were fired from for completely unrelated reasons a long time ago?

Maybe they're not doing anything because you received a bad batch from a cheap fab with registration issues.  Hey, we've all done it, $10 for 10 boards, worth the risk right? Just a shame you have to wait 25-40 days to find out.

To celebrate the Block Erupter USB's 2-year anniversary - or just to get rid of some excess contest funds - I'm 'giving' away BTC0.1 (a small prize for a small device) in a contest of perception.

At noon PST on 2015-05-08 (that's May 8th, not August 5th) I will be posting a list of 10 images.  I won't say what the images are of - that'll be part of figuring it out.  The opening of this post is a hint.  Your goal will be to either deduce, or guess, which miner each is.  Each item is valued at BTC0.01

To partake, you will only have to list your guess for each item in the list.  No tinkering, no need to mine, no staring at the sides of boards - just your skill in perception honed through experience, wisdom or sheer dumb luck.

Prize: BTC0.01 per first correct guess
It's not much, but it's more than you're going to get mining with one now, short of being a solo (http://solo.ckpool.org/) Bitcoin (http://bitsolo.net/) mining (http://solomining.com/) lottery (https://solo.nicehash.com/) winner :)

Rules:
1. You may enter this contest simply by posting a comment in this thread pointing out your guesses.  See the Guesses section for details.
1.1 Correct guesses are on a first come first (and only) serve basis.  If somebody guessed one and you've got the same guess for it - don't bother with that one anymore.
2. You must post guesses in new posts - if you edit your post, you will be disqualified; others can then duplicate your guesses if they so choose.
3. You must post or PM an address to which potential winnings should be sent (at time of submission or if selected as a winner).  No need to sign messages this time around.

Duration:
The list of items will be posted on 2015-05-08 at noon (12:00pm) PST, and the contest will start effectively at that time and continue until midnight PST.  Not sure when that is?  Google is ever-so-helpful: current time pst (https://www.google.com/webhp?#q=current%20time%20pst)

• You may begin posting your guesses starting at 12:00pm PST on 2015-05-08.
• The contest closes at 12:00am PST on 2015-05-09 (night of 8th on 9th) This doesn't need a close time - the contest closes whenever the last item has been gotten right

Winner selection:
The first to guess an entry correctly is entitled to BTC0.01.  Guess two correctly: BTC0.02, 3 = BTC0.03 and so on.

The list will be posted in the second post of this thread at or around 12:00pm PST on 2015-05-08.  The list is of 10 StickMiners - no traps this time.  Each item on the list will be labeled by a single letter: A, B, C, etc. for reference.

Guesses:
When making a guess, consult the StickMiners - overview of low-power 'usb stick' type mining hardware (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=464496.0;all) thread for naming conventions to prevent ambiguity.
Guesses should be posted as:
A = Your guess for item A on the list
B = Your guess for item B
C = Your guess for item C
etc.

It is impossible for me to guarantee that I have not given people the answers in advance.  You'll just have to trust me when I say FUN > CORRUPTION.

I'll have to think of something, but it'll definitely be down the road... maybe it'll be a NanoFury-themed thing, or maybe tie something into GekkoScience's project :)
