Title: Selling $25 Quirky eGiftcard for 1 BTC
Post by: JohnBigheart on September 03, 2012, 01:57:04 PM
I have some $$$ accumulated on my Quirky account and I can't be troubled by the fees and paperwork for international payout.
So I am offering to sell my Quirky $$$ in the form of giftcards for BTCs.

I will purchase the gift card with my own balance on Quirky.com and the code will be sent directly to your e-mail address by Quirky.
Will only need your e-mail address for instant delivery.

Validity of the code can be verified here (http://bit.ly/OSLrbL).
[click the "Check Gift Card Balance" button]

Here is a selection of tangible goods that you can purchased online at Quirky.com (http://bit.ly/wulczN)

$25 to go now. Can be more if you have a decent forum reputation.

I am somewhat suprised by the lack of interest here:

There is very little risk in the transaction:
  • If you have a decent forum deputation, I will send the giftcard first. You can verify the giftcard balance on Quirky.com (http://bit.ly/OSLrbL) before sending the BTCs.
[click the "Check Gift Card Balance" button]
  • There is no way for me to doublespend: I enter your e-mail address on Quirky.com and the giftcard is e-mailed to you directly by Quirky. I will not know the gift code myself.
  • Quirky is not a scam site. It's a million dollar company already featured on Sundance (http://www.sundancechannel.com/quirky/).
  • I am a longtime member on Quirky.com who has accumulated a lot of credit there

So I wonder if the lack of interest is due to:
  • People thinking that this is some type of very elaborated scam
  • The price is wrong
  • There is nothing on Quirky.com that you care to own even at the 50% rebate offered if you pay via Bitcoins

Can someone help me understand?
