“long term” <- if you can define this quantitatively, I can limit the output.

What attributes do you need to be listed / to filter?

* protocol (bitcoin, nxt, counterparty.etc)
* protection scheme (pow, pos, mainly)
* distribution scheme (ico-pow, airdrop, etc)
* block hash algo (x11, SHA2-256, SHA3-256, etc.)
* number of coins
* block target time in secs
* premine %
* status (listed, extant, defunct)

I want to add one one: the dev team should be active and further developing the project.Do your own research before investing altcoins!

I think we should avoid investing new coins due to a lot of shitcoins, which are created just for the pump and dump. Why not investing the existing ones, which we know they are not scam and have a lot of promising features!

Don't get caught up in the hype of a "get rich quick"  "New Bitcoin" type alt, there are a lot of false claims out there.

I think altcoins are all crappy! Only bitcoin have a bright future! The only coin we should invest is bitcoin.

Investing in altcoin is for the future. You can't get quick rich. But we should keep in mid that we may lost all.

IMO Such as Dash, XMR, NXT etc. I like Bitshare as well. But its price is down a lot and it seems nothing new with it so far!

I Might be slightly biased, but Credits uses something called a proof of deposit system, which I have never seen in crypto before. It essentially spits the role of the miner, between the miner and a new type of contributor called "the depositor". To mine a block, you must deposit the required deposit (currently, it's less than the total block reward, meaning you don't need to prepare any deposit. The wallet will subtract the deposit automatically if you find a block).

At around block 33,000 , the required deposit will be greater than the block reward. This means that you have to provide the upfront CRE deposit (deposits are RETURNED to you after 15,000 blocks) or else your specific mining rig faces a difficulty adjustment based on how much of the deposit is missing.

As you can imagine, there will be a need for people that HAVE CRE. There is features inside the Credits-qt wallet that allow a user to provide another user with deposit funds, with the creditor being paid from the block reward instantly.
